Title: Gorillaz
Post by: Daikun on February 01, 2015, 05:41:30 PM
No thread for this group? :whuh: Let's remedy that.

They're making a comeback, (http://www.inquisitr.com/1806256/gorillaz-set-to-return-co-creator-releases-new-artwork) by the way.

Haven't really been into them since Demon Days.

I love Demon Days. It's one of my favorite albums of all time... and it'll be 10 this year. >_>

I have a friend who insists that Plastic Beach and The Fall are better, but naaaaah. I like Plastic Beach well enough, it has quite a few great tracks, but it never quite reaches the greatness of DD and a lot of the songs feel like filler. And The Fall... I dislike. A lot. Given the nature of the way that album was recorded, I wouldn't be surprised if most of those songs had very little time between conception and recording.

I'll give a new album a shot though.

I regret to say that I have yet to buy an album from this great band. Really love the songs I've heard from their debut, Demon Days, and Plastic Beach, and their music video's are easily some of the best around.

I like the first two albums, but I prefer Blur.

Their new album, "Humanz," releases April 28. (http://pitchfork.com/news/72365-gorillaz-reveal-new-album-humanz-details-cover-art-massive-tracklist)

Also, they're getting a TV series! Holy shit!
