No fair, I would give my left foot to never hear another Disturbed or Slipknot song ever again.

This is one of those things that is difficult for me to participate in unless I am listening to the radio and a particular song comes on that I dislike.  Maybe I can like keep a log or something and write down songs I never want to hear again, and once I get a sizeable list I can post it here.

Although a couple of 90's songs would definitely be "You Get What You Give" and "Wonderwall".

Aww, I love "Fuck You".

And really, all I can think of right now, besides that one fucking Celine song, are U2 and Katy Perry songs. Oh, and "Love you Like a Love Song" I guess.

Literally everything to ever come out of Young Money

Why am I the only one here that kinda likes Oasis?  :frown:

I mean, I know I shouldn't; 90's Britpop, lead singer is a completely insufferable douche... and yet, I still like those first couple of albums. I don't even know why. Nostalgia? Eh.

Oh yeah, anyway... here are some of mine:

2010-2019
Carly Rae Jepsen - "Call Me Maybe"
Far East Movement - "Like a G6"
Maroon 5 - "Moves Like Jagger"
Anything by Kesha
Anything by LMFAO
Anything by Chris Brown

2000-2009
Lady Gaga - "Poker Face"
Cobra Starship - "Good Girls Go Bad"
Our Lady Peace - "Innocent" (WHAT IN GODS NAME HAPPENED TO THIS BAND)
James Blunt - "You're Beautiful"
Linkin Park - "Bleed It Out"
Anything by The Black Eyed Peas
Anything by Nickelback

1990's
Sir Mix-a-Lot - "Baby Got Back"
Jesus Jones - "Right Here Right Now"
Chumbawamba - "Tubthumping"
Anything by Vanilla Ice
Anything by Creed
Anything by Limp Bizkit

1980's
Wang Chung - "Dance Hall Days"
The Buggles - "Video Killed the Radio Star" (yeah, I know this came out in 1979, but it's close enough)
Starship - "We Built This City"
Bon Jovi - "Livin' on a Prayer"
Poison - "Every Rose Has Its Thorn"

Obviously there are many many others, but this is just what immediately came to mind when I think of each of these decades. I'll probably have some more later.

I like Oasis, asshole brother singers or not. Specifically, each album has a few absolute gems surrounded by bland filler. Their last album was their best in my eyes, though. Noel's solo album from recently was pretty awesome too.

Almost everyone does.

And I don't mind being the only one who doesn't. I'd even say it's a good song except for... his voice.     (No, not his voice! His voice is great, right? I think he's doing a style that I have no problem with but his own use of it doesn't go well with the music. Not in my opinion.)

Well, I'd agree that Cee Lo's voice isn't for everyone. It's not even that great, really. I think it works fine for the song though, which is where we disagree.

Okay, here's a more definitive list.

2010-2012

Anything by Katy Perry
Justin Bieber- "Eenie Meenie" (or really anything he's done, but this one in particular... ugh)
Selena Gomez- "Love You Like a Love Song" (some people, including J.B. Warner, say that she is more talented than her boyfriend. Her music must have totally eluded them)
No Doubt- "Settle Down"
Anything by LMFAO
And yeah, all things Young Money

2000's

Pretty much all things nu-metal
Soulja Boy- "Crank Dat (Soulja Boy)"
Green Day- "21 Guns"
Jay-Z- "99 Problems"
Beyonce- "If I Were a Boy"
Fergie- "London Bridge" (remember when she had a solo career while the band had a hiatus? Even her dad said this is the worst song he ever heard)
Fran Ferdinand- "Take Me Out"
Coldplay- "Fix You"

1990's

Oasis- "Wonderwall" (sorry Kidd)
Celine Dion- "My Heart Will Go On"
Metallica- "Nothing Else Matters"
Pretty much all of Aerosmith's ballads. Seriously, they should never write slower songs again- all of their ballads from the 90's especially blow chunks
Nirvana- "Smells Like Teen Spirit"
Pantera- "Walk"

1980's

Anything by U2
Guns N' Roses- "Welcome to the Jungle"
Motley Crue- "Girls Girls Girls"
Most Brian Johnson-era AC/DC
NWA- "Fuck Tha Police"

1970's

Queen- "Bohemian Rhapsody"

1960's

The Beatles- "Strawberry Fields Forever"
Jackson 5- "Want You Back" and "I'll Be There"

"I Want You Back" is an awesome song because Guy Mariano skated to it in the film Video Days(aka the film in which Kevin Smith discovered then skater Jason Lee and recruited him for Mallrats).

Yeah, listening to it again, it really isn't that bad. Certainly better than Cher Lloyd's "Want U Back".

Edit: Oh, and I'll add "Hey Soul Sister" to that list. Fucking Train.

Take That - I Want You Back
Any Nirvana single
Smashing Pumpkins - Every single except 1979 and Rhinoceros
Anything by Black-Eyed Peas

To add on to what everyone else posted.

His voice in the former makes my ears cringe and the latter is simply overplayed here. Honestly, I really can't stand his voice but it only really drives me nutty in a few songs.

Fair enough. I still like the Pumpkins, but Billy's voice is really hard to defend.

Oh, and to defend Canadian culture after I brought up one of its lows in the other thread, at least Canada and the states never made anything like "Swagger Jagger". If you haven't seen that before, look it up.

Speaking of Canada, I wish the radio would play Roll On Down The Highway more and Takin' Care Of Business less. The former is a way better driving song.

Got a few more:

2010's

Nicki Minaj - "Super Bass"
B.o.B. and Bruno Mars - "Nothin' on You"
Usher and will.i.am - "OMG"

2000's

Hoobastank - "The Reason"
3 Doors Down - "It's Not My Time"
Shinedown - "Devour"
Train - "Drops of Jupiter"
Hinder - "Lips of an Angel"
Buckcherry - "Crazy Bitch"
The Killers - "Mr. Brightside"
Anything by Fall Out Boy
Anything by Fergie (have I mentioned yet how much her voice drives me crazy? Because it does)

1990's

4 Non Blondes - "What's Up?"
Michael Bolton - "How Am I Supposed To Live Without You"
Anything by The Backstreet Boys (should go without saying, but I might as well anyway)
Anything by Milli Vanilli

1980's

Boys Don't Cry - "I Wanna Be a Cowboy"
Poison - "I Want Action"

Actually, they just won the Grammy in the 90's. Their album and their 3 most famous singles ("Blame it on the Rain," "Don't Forget My Number," and "Girl You Know it's True") were released in '88-89.

You know what... I kind of agree.

But there's something special about it. It's not a song people are supposed to like. I've always liked it a little because it's extremely kinky. Literally, if it weren't for the "and you could be my cowgirl" line, I would have sex to this song.

Yeah, that's right; forgot about that. I usually just associate them as a 90's act because they won it during that period (which... I'm not even going to go there).

Nah, it's fine. different strokes (https://animationrevelation.com/DifferentStrokes.jpg) for different folks, as it goes (given that I'm one of the only ones here that actually likes Oasis, I know the feeling).

I've just grown to really hate that song over the years. Although I'll admit, in this context (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itvJybdcYbI), it does have a certain charm.

The first album still holds up. After that they got a stick up their ass and Sam's Town and Sawdust are still good, but had a lot of filler. Day & Age, though... dear god that album is terrible. Luckily, the newest one is a bit of a step up, even though it still has some of those droning, slower songs.

I never really liked any of their stuff, truth be told. Not even their first album.

And this is just way too overplayed. Maybe it's not that earworm level of terrible, like some of this stuff is to me (fucking Hinder... ugh), but when you take a bland song that I didn't care for to begin with, and just overplay it to death... it grates on you after while. Hence, this.

That was fun. Very clever.

But not necessarily the way the song was intended (for example, look at the extra audio they imported). Just a good video.

Got two more to add from this decade- the new Maroon 5 and Carly Rae Jepsen/Owl City singles. I heard both of these in the span of 10 minutes while on the road earlier today, and god, they're both awful.

With every new single, it becomes more apparent that Adam Levine's balls haven't dropped yet. How can there be people that not only like, but look up to his nasally voice? This new track is one of their worst, too.

And Owl City was one of those acts who I was hoping would be a one-hit wonder forgotten by time, and we were so close to it too. But no, Canada's new "wunderkind" (never mind the fact that she's 26 and looks and acts like she should be starring in a Disney Channel kidcom) just haddd to bring Mr. Synthbag back into the light. Granted, this isn't quite as bad as "Fireflies" or "Call Me Maybe", but it's no good either.

B.o.B. and Bruno Mars - "Nothin' on You"
This song was actually in between both of these. It was the first time I heard it in full, and honestly, I think Bruno's hook on the song is genius. B.O.B. killed it each time he was on, though.

I've been pretty lucky to mostly avoid that entirely. Same can't be said of anything involving "the Duck Dynasty Singers" or whatever's going on with that. Yeah, someone in my company Christmas Day thought it would be cute to listen to the "they want to censor the Christ in Christmas" song. Yes, I know I need smarter friends.

Anyway, I've been meaning to start something as a kind of Informal Awards of the 1990's since I spent the last year going over an absurd amount of music from the decade... But, this is all I have thus far -

UGHHH!

The reason is just simply because it used to play on the school bus radio EVERY morning on the way to school and EVERY afternoon on the way home. Ev-er-ry single day. A person can only take so much before veins start popping out of your face and neck and turning a brighter shade of crimson.
