Only the first three chapters have been uploaded online. It's a good thing because it encourages buying the books.

If you read Masamune Shirow's afterword, he states that the series was originally going to be an original anime rather than a manga but it didn't get off the ground so that explains why it feels like an anime to you.

Yeah that really does explain it  :il_hahaha:
Anyway i ordered them all now, doubt i'll support the anime as much though, to be frank, the cheap production value puts me off, then i'd better stick to original art by rikudou anyway :p

The last episode was freakin' funny! I wonder if maybe Funimation will try to get the Excel Saga voice actors to do the dub of this one.

Fifth volume came out over the summer. Am I the only one looking forward to the sixth volume at the end of the year? Am I also the only one who is really reading it?  ???

I'd like to read his other works but I don't know Japanese and my life situation sucks so I won't be able to learn it anytime soon. Online manga communities also aren't interested in translating his works.  :el_cry:

I'll investigate this at some point, I did see a couple of episodes of the anime (maybe it all?) and it seemed fun, I hate the loli stuff but I love Rikdo and the beautiful art.

Rikdo's art is indeed beautiful. It's a 50-50 balance between technical and exaggerated as well as very clean and polished.

Volume 6 is coming out soon. I wonder if it will only cover where the anime ended or if it will lead into what happens after it.

I bought volume 7 but I haven't taken the time to seriously read it. I do notice that Vli--WHUMP!'s assistants have the same hairstyles as  :h_happy: and  :el_happy:. I'll check back if there are more Excel Saga references.
