Gaijin Goombah distinguishes the original Polynesian mythology from the Disney-fied liberties.

Surprisingly, Disney was a lot more accurate than their earlier "cultural" movies.

Not too big a surprise, there were rumors a while back that Disney was going to try and make their fairy tale movies more closer to the original works. Now granted, that was back around when Tangled was in the planning stages but I'm not shocked to see the results occur years later.

My best friend has a two year old daughter, I might ask him and his wife if they want to go see it with me.

He's had a great career and made a pretty high note to retire on. Best of luck to him.
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

Moana is getting a live-action remake.

Hey, Disney, couldn't you have waited until AT LEAST a decade has passed since the film's release?

Turning a TV series into a movie, because that's worked well before!

Not even having Lin-Manuel Miranda return. Like, what is even the point then? Should have just stayed a Disney+ series. I saw a post on Twitter that summed it up as "Back in my day this would have been some crappy VHS movie with a guy doing the worse Dwayne Johnson Impression you ever heard."

EDIT: It appears that both Dwayne Johnson & Auli'i Cravalho are in talks about reprising their roles. Like LOL! I guess they were probably gonna get Jess Harnell to voice Maui since he voices him in that Disney Dreamlight Valley game, but I'm curious to who they were gonna have voice Moana. Like especially since Auli'i also came back to voice Moana in Dreamlight Valley and was the voice of Hailey in "Hailey's On It!"
