I figured that we should bring this thread back as well.

Lately, I've been listening to a few different things, including crossover thrash and the like, stuff such as COC. They have a pretty diverse discography that ranges from hardcore to crust to sludge to traditional thrash-ish metal, but as of late, it's the second album, Animosity, that I've been playing.

If you're into hardcore, I'd advise that you give this a look.
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

Forgot about this thread.

Listen to this or this and tell me it isn't just awesome. I kick myself every time I remember that no one bought this album.

Saving those on my queue, so I'll play them in a few.

As for now, this is what I'm playing. Wish we got more out of them than an LP and EP.

Can someone listen through Britney's 7th album?  I'm still trying to figure out why she's still top 40 material since she had kids.

Not exactly the point of the thread, man.

Well, let's try giving this thread a shot in the arm since it's been so long.

Hopefully we can get a few others in on this as well. :)

Sounds like something out of a video game.
It doesn't matter what you say, soon you'll be dead anyway.

Written in 1979, yet it's been ripped off so many times. The part at 1:15 pretty much predates post-punk well before Iggy Pop and Bowie were thinking of it.

Definitely one of my all time favorite songs.

The kind of dance music I like.
I absolutely love this. Great melting pot of influences and styles.
I'd give it:

To describe it... I'll say: The Avalanches, a little Apples in Stereo, Cornelius, Indeep on an insane sugar high, The Eels' "Fresh Feeling," Titan, Sukia, Le Tigre's "My My Metrocard," and Whale's "Four Big Speakers." In a blender.

But... I do want to put up the Music Fan's Stop Sign at "the kind of dance music I like" quip. Good for you, but let's not get snobby here. (Potentially Unnecessary-Rant Alert ON, don't continue if you appreciate all of this already and I simply read you wrong in any way.) Dance music revolutionized DECADES of culture, sub-culture, gave people a sense of pride, crossed major societal, racial, and sexual boundaries- making it possible for people to enjoy music with each other without getting hung up on their differences, and allowed people to feel free and express themselves in ways they couldn't anywhere else.

To piss on all that with some attitude that indie groups don't get enough respect because you might have a beef with someone else getting more attention? Not very cool. Even if, depending on who the beef is with specifically, some deserve it. (Potentially Unnecessary-Rant Alert OFF)

Brutal honesty, this puts me to sleep:

I'll very happily take Bratmobile's "Kiss and Ride" in its' place: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Ai4O-f0a4M
Or L7's "Mr. Integrity" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TDLtu_gd6g

Admittedly, I can't trace post-punk of the late 70's. But I'll just say if this counts, this is as good as it gets for me.
Well, I got so burned out on the road
Too many fags, too much blow
And then Mick and I split up and I said,
"Kid, it's time to take a little bit of a hiatus."
So I got myself a gig at the coffee shop
and I love it.
Why don't you take that corner booth,
I'll take your order in a minute...
