Happy New Year!
It's the year of our lord 2024 and Disney's elongated copyright has finally been maxed out. We can slowly watch Disney's films fall into the public domain in real time.

Now let's watch the seminal classic that put Uncle Walt on the map.

So guys, what's your pitch for a Mickey Mouse project? And please, no low-budget z-grade slasher films unless you swear your idea is actually cool.

I was hoping for a fun little platformer on a ship staring his version of Mickey, but someone was already cooking some edgy horror game starting it instead.

The Gallopin' Gaucho is also now public domain.
The YouTube version is garbage quality, so here's a better version at the Internet Archive.

And of course, there's The Mad Doctor, which somehow slipped through the cracks decades ago.

Plane Crazy is...a weird case. The sound version is still copyrighted for another year, but the silent version is public domain now, and it's sadly considered lost.
