Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

THIS IS A HAPPY PLACE

God, this show was brilliant. Seriously; how did this not take off?

Spark Of Spirit

You're not kidding. I completely missed it both times it was around on the WB and on CN.

When I finally saw it, I was kicking myself pretty hard. It deserved a lot more.

I still use this whenever someone annoying shows up. Classic scene.

This is one of my personal favorite scenes.

I remember this as a youngling. I never understood much of it, but I knew there was something really wacky and special about it.

So for my humanities class I have to write a paper using a piece of modern culture that references something classical, be it advertising, entertainment, or what. It can even reference film, depending on how it's used.

I decided to write it on "Normadeus". Talk about multiple birds, right?

Freakazoid is back!

...via a TTG crossover.

Check out the episode "Huggbees" this Saturday at 9:15AM.

Spielberg is so willing to keep Freakazoid hidden that another show will put him on over Animaniacs. Doesn't surprise me.

Been thinking it's odd that all these WB shows are coming back, but Tom Ruegger seemingly isn't back for any of them. Not because he declined either.

I keep wondering what is up with all these crossovers in Teen Titans Go!? They just had 1 with Beetlejuice in it. Provided they didn't get the guy from the movie or the animated series, but rather the guy that played him in the recent Broadway run. Even that, I wonder why crossover Freakazoid of all characters?

I have to admit, I've grown from disappointed to a little mixed on Ruegger's lack of involvement with these revivals. I'm not as against it as I used to be on the ground that he doesn't own these characters, and it's not exactly unprecedented for the studios to bring back legacy characters without their creator's involvement. In some cases, new blood are able to bring life out of certain characters more than their creators did, like in Mystery Incorporated and Zombie Island.

But if he really does want to be at least a little involved with these shows, I don't see why he can't be hired as at least a temporary consultant. Did he and Spielberg end their partnership on bad terms?

I get the feeling that the TTG crew are at a stage where they've been handed the keys to the kingdom, and are trying to do as much as they can with the Warner library.

Which is a little weird that this show, of all things, is the one that can bring Freakazoid and Beetlejuice back. But when they want to, the crew can do good stuff. I genuinely enjoyed the movie.

As well as the fact he hasn't produced a hit show in ages. Everything after he made Histeria's a blur, and even if The 7D wasn't overshadowed by Gravity Falls at the time, the show itself was nothing special. While I've grown critical on some cartoon creators from the 90s I used to love like Weisman and Timm, at least they still produce works people talk about.

Pinky, Elmyra & the Brain was their last show together, so...probably?
