I'm currently writing a play, and I'm looking for some really funny ones to give me an idea of what kind of comedy works and what kind doesn't on the stage.

I haven't read or seen many that I'd consider hilarious; the only ones being a couple of Tom Stoppard's works, Martin McDonagh's plays, and Tartuffe by Molière. Basic shit, I know. I'M TRYING TO GET MORE CULTURED, GUYS, I'M TRYING.

Ahem. Any input is appreciated. I need me some funny theatre!

Unfortunately, my knowledge of fine stage-work is even more limited than yours. I would love to see and read more plays, but as with most things I rarely have the time or the money, so if anyone wants to recommend anything I'd be happy to look into those myself just for some good quality entertainment value, if I ever get the chance.

I don't know if audio plays are to your liking, but I thought The One Doctor by Gareth Roberts & Clayton Hickman was quite hilarious. As well as most of the Jago & Litefoot dramas.

I will give 'em a listen soon! Thanks.
