Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

Say what you will about the RDJ movies, at least casting Jude Law as Watson actually, you know, makes sense. This... this is just...

No words. I simply have no words.

Avaitor

If they want to add some sex-appeal to Sherlock Holmes, they are plenty of femme fatales they can bring in for intrigue or love interests from the original stories. or hell, even make new characters.

There is no reason whatsoever for Watson to be a female.

I hate gender swapping, too. There's really no reason to do this at all.

That said, I'm not really that pissed about it. We've always had Sherlock on the big screen or on TV for ages on end. It's not like a show with a change like this will ruin the mythos in anyway whatsoever.

And at least Lucy Liu's not playing Sherlock.

Foggle

I don't really have a problem with a female Watson, either. It just came as a humongous shock to me. Especially the part about her being Lucy Liu.

I mean, there's no real reason for them to do this, but hey, the gender swaps in BSG worked really well. I'm willing to give Liu's Watson a chance.

Spark Of Spirit

They could have easily called it something else and put Lucy Liu in the main role.

But they'd never do that.

They did it when they made Sherlock a doctor played by Hugh Laurie.

Nothing against Hugh Laurie, or the actual show, but I really can't stand the character. He really grates on my nerves.

The only thing I like about House is that Olivia Wilde got her start from it.
