The cynical lone wolf Blaine comes into the possession of two valuable letters of transit. When Nazi Major Strasser arrives in Casablanca, the sycophantic police Captain Renault does what he can to please him, including detaining Czech underground leader Victor Laszlo. Much to Rick's surprise, Lazslo arrives with Ilsa, Rick's one time love. Rick is very bitter towards Ilsa, who ran out on him in Paris, but when he learns she had good reason to, they plan to run off together again using the letters of transit. Well, that was their original plan....

COMMENTS?

Going out to see this later today in Orlando. Are you going to see it's rerelease today? Or it not, what do you think about this classic.
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

I posted a listing in the What Movie Did You Currently Watch thread. Check it out before it's too late.

Wow.

What an experience that was. Movies are meant to be seen in the big screen, with a big, respectable crowd, especially masterpieces like this. The audience was great, laughing at all the right parts, even at lines I didn't even expect to find funny, they were respectfully quiet during the ending sequence (probably drying off their tears), and there was a huge round of applause at the end. And my friends loved it. Only one of them has seen it, but only in a bunch of parts and not all the way through, so this was the perfect way to see it for the first time. And the audience ranged from all ages, so I wouldn't be surprised if this was the first time that a lot of others saw it too.

I really hope that TCM does more of these. I want to take my friends to as many other classics that I can now.

Oh hey, if you guys missed out on this, you'll get another chance coming up. They're doing an encore presentation of the rerelease on the 26th.

On the very odd chance it comes to my town this time, I'll go again. But hey, this is great that they're doing it again. They didn't for West Side Story. Maybe we will get more of these soon.
