That pic of Katara would actually be really great.

You know, without the giant ejaculating dick.

Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

I get the greatest kick out of comic book covers like these. The relevance to the actual story is always so spot on. :sly:

One of two things'll occur..
1. These kids will grow up, see these pics and have a good sense of humour about them and move on.

2. These kids will grow up, see these pics and become some of the most prominent homicidal maniacs ever seen in our lifetime.

I'll move off of TZ for this next one, but there's another forum I need to vent on about. Joined the place back in 2006, same time as TZ. Back then, it was a really fun forum. It was for this guy who had just become the main writer of a comic I was reading, and he had just been as much of a fan of this property as we were. And when he became the writer, he began to fix the mess that the previous writers had made. It was a really positive vibe all around. And this goes on for about the next three years.

2009. I forgot what was going on in the franchise and/or the comic, but whatever it was brought in an influx of obnoxious new forum members. And this is where things fall apart. I basically had put these newbies into two groups. The insanely dumb ones, who obsessed over one little thing and kept making topic after topic about it, and then the others, who because they are on the comic writer's forum, fancy themselves as somehow special and a cut above any fan of the comic who doesn't post there.

The latter are worse. They're the reason my favorite forumers left. Hell, one of the ones who left was the writer's close friend, and he'd always mock the writer's decisions lovingly, you know? But these new members only saw it as venomous hate, and ostracized him. So as I said, these people think themselves to be part of some special group, being on the writer's forum. By 2011 people with this mentality made up the majority of the membership. They agree with any decision the writer makes (imo, his writing has been suffering for quite some time now, though he's still better than the old writers), and they demand people see everything in a positive light. And when any of us (i.e. Nel_Annette) say anything, anything negative, they change the way they treat you. They stop responding to anything you say in the comments and basically act as if you aren't posting there at all.

It gets worse. One particular forumer kind of put himself as the leader of this little e-clique, and he's a humorless ass. Joined his Minecraft server once, he basically kept fucking me over with spamming items and lagging my game while telling me "my server, my rules", in addition to telling me to "keep up with him" and "hurry up" when he had flying and I didn't. I visited yesterday for the first time in months. The fucker started a goddamned podcast named after the forum, which the writer doesn't even know about. Full of super serious topics, that he doesn't know shit about!

Another member fancies himself a professional voice actor and "high-ranked member of the (franchise-here) community" just because he was in (an admittedly hilarious) fan project. And whenever he disagrees with someone, he passive-aggressively baits people, trying to get them banned. The Derpy episode of MLP? I said I didn't like her voice because I thought it sounded like a stereotypical retarded voice. His response. "I find it really telling that you think that's how all mentally retarded people sound." I said stereotypical, dumbass. As in, no, that's not how they all sound, but that's the "cheap" route a lot of people go when they want to portray it.

I just... ugh. The writer himself barely visits his own site anymore because he's so busy, but you can tell whenever he is on that he can't stand his own forum members anymore. Whereas he used to do Q&A's with us and partook in conversations explaining why he did things certain ways, now he only comes on to tell people to calm down and stop overreacting to other people's opinions. The other admins work on the comic as well, so they're barely there.

Sorry for the long vent, but visiting the place yesterday and seeing that the same assclowns still run the show four years later is disheartening. Why do these idiots have to put themselves on some kind of pedestal on a forum? You're not special!

:srs:
This sounds horrible. Well, it could be worse.

It could be the Sonic fanbase!  ;)
