The fun. guy.

Although I will say his song with Eminem is the best thing I've heard from him, but it's still the worst thing on the album.

There seriously isn't a more overplayed song in the history of popular music.

Eh, whatever.

It's about as bloated and overdone as music gets, but I'll always have a soft spot for it. Don't ask why.

I've been pretty lucky to mostly avoid that entirely. Same can't be said of anything involving "the Duck Dynasty Singers" or whatever's going on with that. Yeah, someone in my company Christmas Day thought it would be cute to listen to the "they want to censor the Christ in Christmas" song. Yes, I know I need smarter friends.

Anyway, I've been meaning to start something as a kind of Informal Awards of the 1990's since I spent the last year going over an absurd amount of music from the decade... But, this is all I have thus far -

Well, I got so burned out on the road
Too many fags, too much blow
And then Mick and I split up and I said,
"Kid, it's time to take a little bit of a hiatus."
So I got myself a gig at the coffee shop
and I love it.
Why don't you take that corner booth,
I'll take your order in a minute...

You might as well add everything from The Killers.

They just don't do it for me.

1970-1979:
The Who- "Who Are You"
John Lennon- "Imagine"
Deep Purple- "Smoke on the Water"
Black Sabbath- "Paranoid"

1980-1989:
The Cure- "Friday I'm in Love"
Metallica- "Fade to Black", "Master of Puppets", and "One"

2010-2014:
The entirety of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and Yeezus (I've actually grown to respect his earlier stuff more, but Yeezy's last 2 albums do absolutely nothing for me)

Did I add "Bad Medicine" to my 80's list?

If not, it needs to be #1. Fuck that song.

And now the song is back in my head again.

Sigh. Thanks a lot.  :-\

Thanks to ad culture and jukebox musicals... whether you're right or not, I'm still not 100% sure: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_jWHffIx5E

"All of the Lights" is now, was the second it came out, and will forever be THE #1 single of this unfinished decade. Nothing will touch it, nothing. It's set in stone. Was the second the song was released. And will forever be. (AND I agree with the Rap Critic about Kanye's "MJ" lyric. But, still.)
