We might as well use a thread like this in the regular animation board, as well as the anime board.

Anyway, Jerry Beck's co-hosting of TCM with Robert Osborne is tonight. Is anyone going to try to catch this as well?
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

It doesn't matter what you say, soon you'll be dead anyway.

Oh wow, this one short involves a man just making drawings and animating them later on. It starts off with him writing the words coon and cyke, and turning them into drawings of black and Jewish stereotypes.

No joke, just right off the bat. Wow.

Fat Albert must be the perfect show to watch high.

Or make a drinking game out of.

I really wish they'd re-release the movies. Those re pretty great, and contain most of my favorite Peanuts material.

Still, great news!

Baby steps, but those seem likely in the near future.

My major qualm is that this is a DVD-R release, but hey, the show hasn't been available in full in years, so I'll take what I can get. It also seems like Warner is doing better with the Peanuts franchise than Paramount ever did.

Yesterday on CBS I watched "Frosty the Snowman" and the SpongeBob stop-motion Christmas.

"Frosty" is a pretty good lookin' special from Rankin/Bass, and I think the animation (done in Japan at Mushi Production) is pretty good. Jimmy Durante as a narrator was a nice touch. Also the villain, Professor Hinkle, is a dick.

The SpongeBob Christmas special was pretty good. A throwback to the Rankin/Bass stop-motion specials. I love how everybody gained five-o'clock shadows when they became jerks.

Sandy: You gave everyone fruitcake made by Plankton?
SpongeBob (smiling): Uh huh.
Sandy: You're an idiot.

Right now, I'm waiting for the new "Pony" episode.

I've recently taken it upon myself to watch some of The Weekenders again. It still holds up, and I still say that it's better than Recess.

I dunno, I always like the Weekenders but I always found myself engaged more with Recess.

Recess is funny too, but I think I saw every episode like 20 times, because it all feels so clockwork to me now.

I haven't watched either show in ages, but I remember viewing both regularly as a kid, and really enjoying both. That said, for whatever reason I seem to have more fond memories of Recess than I have with The Weekenders. Like I said, though, this is only remembering both shows through pure nostalgia and nothing else to go on. I'll have to try re-watching select bits from each show to see how well they still hold up (or don't) to me, now.

Yeah, this show holds up.

Watched some episodes of this again just recently, yeah it really does. Heck, I dare say it holds up better considering I didn't pay full attention to it back when it first came on.
