COMMENTS?

A potentially good script gets ruined by an inept inexperienced director, rotten editing, cheesy scene transitions, and Greengrass-syndrome. What a shame....

You know how a lot of films, even ones that leave poor impressions, hold up better after another viewing, at a later point in time?

This is not oen of those movies.
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

I never found this one to be as bad as most other people did, but I guess that's how my tastes are always a bit peculiar. This one was definitely a step down from Casino Royale, but while that one is certain a little overrated, I always found this film to be at least somewhat underrated. Its even less of a Bond movie than the previous film and more of a straight-up action movie, but it also has the benefit of having a much brisker pacing and being less bogged down by overly-convoluted (and honestly, at times downright silly, considering the serious tone that the Daniel Craig bond movies go for) plot-lines. I had a lot of problems with this film, to be sure, but at the end of the day I still found it entertaining.

If we're really defining movies as not feeling like Bond films, I'd suggest that it still has more in tune than Dr. No, at least.

I don't really have a problem with this movie. It's not great, but it's a damn sight better than any of the Moore, Dalton, or Brosnan films IMO.

Even The Spy Who Loved Me?

Now if only we could do this.

Cool video.

Need to see The Spy Who Loved Me again, maybe it's better than I remember.

Never really been big on Goldeneye to be honest. I just don't like Pierce Brosnan as Bond.

Dr. Insomniac

Though you gotta wonder how many other tie-in games have a longer lasting legacy than the movie they were adapted from?

Brosnan's okay. I think his turn as Bond was sullied by a mediocre set of movies, but to me, he did a decent job with what he could.

Escape From Butcher Bay maybe. Though that's assuming you count it as being based off The Chronicles of Riddick rather than Pitch Black.

Spider-Man 2 for PS2 is also debatable.

Well it has The Chronicles of Riddick on its title.

Oh, what about the pod racing game for Episode I? That holds up way better than the movie itself.

And Star Wars: Bounty Hunter is way better than the movie with Jango Fett in it.

Rynnec

I hardly see anyone talking about Bounty Hunter though. :-\
