Favorite instruments?

Does anyone have a particular instrument they like to listen for in their favorite songs?

For me, I like to try to listen for a saxophone or a synthesized keyboard.

Pretty much the same as you! I also like listening for the bass, and by that I mean the instrument, not WUBWUBWUB

I like about every instrument. I'm just not fond of double bass or weak-sounding snares in drums.

Pretty much all, and I'm honestly not too picky. I love a good solo, but I'm a fan of plenty of "drum and bass" bands with next to no guitar in them. Conversely, I'm fine with all strings, as well as any other combination you can throw together.

Since I play the piano and saxophone, I'm going to have to go with those two.

And any brass instrument. And sometimes strings.
