This aged a hell of a lot better than you would think it does.
Let's discuss Disney's best original Super Hero here!
I'll leave this out as a template. (http://arevelationfeechurs.blogspot.com/2010/06/disney-afternoon-20-years-of-mouses_07.html)
But yeah, favorite villain? Negaduck has got to be up there for me. Man, he was great. If you need a reminder, watch GregX's video.
Negaduck is hilarious in how evil he is.
My favorite is probably Bushroot because of how... odd most of his schemes are. Also, watch Night Of The Living Spud. A good mix of 50s horror tropes, superheroes, hillbillies, and great writing and animation. I just love how downright bizarre most of his ideas and plans are. He's also a total wimp and coward, making for some great comedy.
Zack, get the diesel fuel.

Zack, get the diesel fuel.
My favorite part of this gag is how they're CONSTANTLY trying to set someone on fire throughout the episode.
You'd never see that nowadays, unfortunately.
I fucking love Darkwing Duck. Disney's best cartoon series, if you ask me. It was one of my favorite shows growing up. I really need to get the rest of the Darkwing DVDs too.
Have you guys seen the story for how the comic (http://negaverse.net/oldhaunt/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=1798) came to be?
It's quite the fun read.
What a story of the power of tenacity. That was a fun read indeed.
Why can't they release the remaining episodes on DVD? Whyyyyyyyyyy? :shit:
37 episodes left unreleased. ONE more volume would easily suffice. Man... I really hope Disney decides to jump on the 90's bandwagon at some point. If Nick can do it, so can they.
I was hoping they were going to use the launch of the comic to try to capitalize with some DVD releases of the remaining episodes, but Disney didn't really take advantage of the comic's success at all and I think that was my biggest letdown with the situation.
I still find it weird that according to what Aaron said on the Old Haunt about Disney is looking into the success of Darkwing Duck after the comics were a success for them. But the fact that they haven't acted on them and the comic is coming to an end soon doesn't sit well with that. I really wished that they did put out Volume 3 during the run.
Yeah, the weirdest part of the story (but since he brought the comic into existence, I believe him) was that Disney were the ones that were all for it and it was BOOM holding them back. It was also BOOM's fault the RR comic didn't do well since they rushed it out without even constructing anything for it.
But Disney even had Warren Spector looking at if DW could have been made into a videogame, so they must have been looking into it enough that a DVD release of volume 3 should have at least tested the waters.
Yeah, BOOM! does kind of drop the ball on this and Rescue Rangers, and I say this as someone that actually read the comics all the way through. Why did I do it? Because as a wise man once said, one's threshold of pain can never be too high! I'll probably be buying the comics to see how they end them.
Still, I hold hope that Marvel will try to revive Darkwing Duck as a comic series in the near future. That would please me, especially if Aaron decided to become a writer, if not Tad Stones. That and I would welcome James Silvani as the artist again. I still think he's one of the best reasons as to why I still pick up the book.
I haven't read the comic beyond the excellent first arc which apparently Ian didn't actually write, but from what I've read from others it seems that Ian's writing is too serious for DW and there is to much going on. He seems to be holding it back from its full potential.
Honestly, if Marvel relaunches it, getting Aaron to write and James to draw might be just what it needs to really shine.

Looks good.
Shame it's still not up on amazon.ca. I'd really like to get my hands on this.
I would really like to see Greg Weisman write the Bowling Ball Universe Darkwing. :P
Still, it's a good pick up if you can find it. The changes are pretty minor and it does feel more comical than the first run.
A local comic book store has a couple of copies. $30 isn't a bad price, but I really don't have the money right now. Maybe in the near future I can, since I only have the first 5 issues. This wouldn't be much of a double dip for me.
Somehow I missed this:
Jim Cummings and Katie Leigh read from the Darkwing comic. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yu7SDE-Lruk&feature=youtu.be)
They've still got it!
I wanted a Netflix announcement but that'll do. :happytime:
Vote for DW! (http://blogs.disney.com/oh-my-disney/2015/07/23/you-get-to-choose-the-next-disney-infinity-character/)
He was THIS close to winning, then the Gravity Falls fandom came in the way. Not that Mabel doesn't deserve a piece, but she can get one in any time. DW won't without your support.
Finally! (http://www.bleedingcool.com/2016/01/19/aaron-sparrow-and-joe-silviani-return-to-new-darkwing-duck-comics-from-joe-books/)
Something else to look forward to in April!
Yep, looks like I'm gonna ask my local comic shop to add this to my pull list.
Okay, so Disney has this monthly Loot Crate-esq series called Disney Park Pack. They give you 3 pins in them, one of which is exclusive to the pack. Usually, I find the pins in here to be of mixed quality, but this month's exclusive caught my eye.

What's even more cool is that these come in variants of different colors for the frames, and apparently one of the variants is of Negaduck!
Can you view this? (https://www.facebook.com/DisneyD23/videos/vb.147415861937130/1205919599420079/?type=2&theater)
A nice little video to celebrate the show's 25th anniversary!
I can! And it is awesome!
Jim Cummings is a great VA, but DW is always the voice I most associate with him. Even when I read the comics, it's his voice that comes to my mind. It's just so distinctive.
EDIT: Preview for the new comic! (http://nerdist.com/darkwing-duck-makes-his-comic-book-return-in-this-exclusive-preview/)
That art is perfect. I might have to pick that up.
This is still one of my favorite moments from a show with a lot of killer moments. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sv-RwVtj3WE)
This show can do a lot to ease a bad mood.
It's really happening!
Darkwing Duck is getting a reboot on Disney+! (https://variety.com/2020/tv/news/darkwing-duck-reboot-disney-plus-1234830283)
Thank you, DuckTales reboot!
Considering I didn't see any of the names from the Ducktales crew, I'm wondering if this is gonna be a different take than what DT has been establishing or if they're gonna end up hiring them later down the line.
Negaduck is getting his own spinoff comic series. (https://twitter.com/DisneyTVANews/status/1672084206107652096)
I'm collecting the Gargoyles comics, but haven't got around to the new Darkwings yet. Part of me is disappointed that the crew from the previous run, which was quite good, weren't called back, although I may pick up the eventual trade.
The pitch bible for the reboot has been leaked. (https://twitter.com/LostMediaBuster/status/1784040286886277288)
Pretty sure this is the version that was supposed to be a spin-off of Ducktales 2017 and that the Seth Rogan one is gonna be vastly different. Seeing as the doc has a proposal from 3 names of people that worked on DT17
