And no, there isn't anything wrong with being commercial/on a major label.  If there was, then I'd have to hate Ramones records, Clash records, Social D records, Bad Religion records, Sex Pistols records...

Okay, I don't really care for that last one, but it ain't because they were commercial, I just don't think they were really that good.

I think Excursions is the best Hip Hop song ever written.

Guess who's doing the Half-Time this year.

Here's a hint: Chalmey will be pleased. :D
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

Oh yeah, I saw that the other day.  I'm personally hoping for another nip-slip.

I don't think you're ready for this jelly...

I love how even on the NFL site, the editors are complaining that they chose Beyonce over Maiden, Foos or VH.

Those really would be a lot better choices. I know that after The Who's crappy performance, they've been going back to more recent and poppier acts, but hey, just because Daltry can't sing anymore doesn't mean that actually talented and proven arena giants should be given the shaft for Beyonce or whatever.

There was a few people on GAF bitching because Metallica hasn't played the Super Bowl yet.

If there are more people complaining that Metallica hasn't done it yet than Maiden, then I give up on humanity.

Parov Stelar's Coco is such an amazing album.

Well, I got so burned out on the road
Too many fags, too much blow
And then Mick and I split up and I said,
"Kid, it's time to take a little bit of a hiatus."
So I got myself a gig at the coffee shop

VH1 had a poll going up on their website to vote for 100 hard rock songs in order to help them rank a top candidate for a new TV special or something.

Guess what won? I bet you didn't expect this

I don't know about you, but I think that it's pretty epic to see something like this win instead of the same old AC/DC or GNR songs.
Yeahhhh, apparently VH1 switched everything around. Type O didn't make it to #1, Bon Jovi did!

Fuck this channel.

I'm still surprised it wasn't Teen Spirit. VH1 still pretends like that song changed the world like most Gen-Xers removed from reality.

Bon Jovi topped a hard rock list?  The fuck?

Well, this was actually made for VH1 Classic, the one that gets away with pretending that it's still the 80's, some obvious 90's tokens aside.

It's pretty much the only channel left that still cares about music though, but you still get lame stuff like this.

#254
#1 was "Livin' on a Prayer".

I was actually worried that it was "Wanted Dead or Alive", but at least it wasn't that. Still not really hard rock, though. And "Black No. 1" at least got to be #2, even though it was clearly voted to be #1.
