It's not like the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame isn't a complete joke in the first place. Just be thankful that Public Enemy is getting in and not Lil Wayne or Vanilla Ice.
...yet. We have 12 years before Weezy can make it in.
And Ice isn't eligible until 2015.
Well, I got so burned out on the road
Too many fags, too much blow
And then Mick and I split up and I said,
"Kid, it's time to take a little bit of a hiatus."
So I got myself a gig at the coffee shop
and I love it.
Why don't you take that corner booth,
I'll take your order in a minute...

new Ghost new Ghost new Ghost new Ghost new Ghost new Ghost

It's not too heavy, but it doesn't sound like a major misstep yet. It also definitely sounds like a grower.
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

No one listened to the new Ghost track :(

Anyway, I've been trying to think of albums that have both epic openings and closers. Iron Maiden and The Beatles typically have very good examples of both, and Powerslave and Sgt. Pepper are the first to come to mind for this. Cynic's Focus is another one.

Any more?

Well, it depends on your definition of 'epic' is, but I think Led Zeppelin has some that count. Like, Zeppelin IV opens with Black Dog and closes with When the Levee Breaks.

So I found this super cool fan-made Persona 5 soundtrack on YouTube, and it's introducing me to all kinds of Japanese jazz and funk music that I didn't even know existed!

The Thrill - Speed Jazz, for instance.

Hey Foggle, how familiar are you with Chairmen of the Board?

I'm really digging this album, myself. It's like, the perfect combination of funk and soul.

I'm talking to a friend now, and we agree that Chad Smith should quit RHCP and Chickenfoot, take Michael Anthony with him, and form a group with Gary Cherone and Nuno Bettencourt, who probably aren't doing anything now.

Imagine a show with them doing VH, Extreme and good RHCP. I'd much rather go see that than the Chili Peppers or VH now.

I just heard a commerical playing Adventure Plus by the Ventures.

Such an obscure pick and my favorite song by them. Whoever chose that song deserves a promotion.

I guess it fits this thread since they are one of my favorite instrumental groups.

Listening to Modern Guilt earlier reminded me that Beck is nearly five years between albums.

We're due.

Isn't he still doing those full album covers for INXS and Velvet Underground and stuff?
