James Horner was one of my favorite movie composers. He died yesterday in a tragic plane crash at the age of 61.

He led a long career lasting 37 years and worked with big names including Roger Corman, Don Bluth, Ron Howard, and James Cameron. Check out everything he did here.

He worked for good movies, bad movies, goofy popcorn flicks... The whole gambit. You might recognize titles like Star Trek II and III, 48 Hours (and its sequel), Titanic, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Land Before Time, Aliens... He had quite an extensive resume and I'll miss him.

EDIT: Oh, he also did this.
