Promised Land was my first Queensryche album and the only one I had for many years. "Damaged", "Out Of Mind", the title track, "Real World" on the remastered edition; Love that album.  :)

Frequency Unknown has two good songs on it, despite Geoff's warbling muppet vocals. I'll give them credit where it's due. I really like the guitar in "In The Hands Of God" because funny enough, it sounds like it'd be a riff that would fit in with Promised Land. "The Weight Of The World" is alright too. The rest is absolute trash though. Decibel's entitled to their opinion, but I think this s/t album is leagues above the Tateryche mess. I can see why people might not be into it though. But for me, this is the best they've been since Promised Land, and I had a smile on my face the whole time listening to it. Though there are some inflections that Todd does with some of his lines that made me raise an eyebrow, but whatevs.

Yeah, I'm definitely going to check it out.

But seriously, damn. New really is always better.
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

Slayer- "War Ensemble"

Today has really been a Jeff day for me. I still can't believe that he's gone.

We're getting to 100 pages soon. Might be time to start a new thread up.

Slayer- "live Undead"

Oh, Nel, I listened to new (real) Queensryche, and I really liked it! The bonus live tracks are great too. I'm considering buying the deluxe edition while it's still only $15.

Doesn't it feel nice to be able to say that again?

But yeah, you should totally buy it. I'd love for their sales to be towering over Tate's album.

Avaitor

Are there people who actually like Tatesryche? I'm sure there are a couple of people who will buy it ironically to see if it's in the "so bad, it's good" category, but it always felt like the majority of fans went to the band's side during the falling out. And after footage of his band and the samples from his album came out, whoever wasn't already there jumped on the Todd bandwagon.

There are actually people out there who are still on Tate's side. You know, that old "without the original/iconic singer that I grew up listening to, it sucks" mentality. I've seen them. And they're usually just as big of irrational dicks as Tate.  I just can't believe that some people still cling to the guy just because he's the original singer and completely ignore the fact that he can't sing anymore. Never mind that they actually like the stuff he made the band put out the past few years.

I do think that most people who follow the whole thing on the internet are on the band's side, though. It'll probably help them that they've put out a better-looking album as well (fancy slipcase on the standard edition, box set of the special edition). I have seen people who like them but just aren't in the know. There was one guy on the band's Facebook page who was actually complaining that he wouldn't buy the self-titled album because he though Frequency Unknown was such a disappointment, and other people in the comments section tried to explain to him that it was two different Queensryches. I found that pretty funny, though I think that's the kind of thing Tate was aiming for.

Iron Maiden- "Sanctuary" (Maiden England version)

After I'm done with ME, I'm going to put on The Final Frontier and Killers. Does this tell you what kind of night this is for me?

Robert Randolph & The Family Band - Going In The Right Direction

I found Unclassified and Colorblind for cheap. If you're a fan of Classic Rock, Blues, Soul, Funk, Gospel, and Alternative you really can't go wrong with these two albums. They're really good summer albums, too.

I hope you guys don't mind if I close this down and start a new thread up. 100 pages always seems like the best time to restart.
