I'm Foggle, the guy who screwed up our previous forum.
Introduce yourself here!
I am the Lord of Darkness. The allmighty one.
I also go by Bobo. ;D
Hey there Animation Revelation crew, I'm neoking2002_neo/Neomysterion, the Obscurities Maniac Extreme.
Some of you may recognize my face at some other sites like ToonZone (I no longer post there), Here is Elsewhere, Neopets, JellyNeo, Animation Revelation (the previous board, before it collapsed), NinDB Forums, HG101 Forums, Cartoon-World, Anime-Cartoon, The Millennium Forums, and The Obscurities Zone (my domain). It's a scout's honour to be here at the new AR.
I'm a big fan of Animation (includes anime and CGI), video games, and pizza restaurants. I'm a dreamer and a bounty hunter with a unique sense for adventure.
Favourite Series: The Simpsons, DragonBall Z, Ren and Stimpy, Red Green Show, Bobobo-Bo Bo-Bobo, Rocko's Modern Life, League of Super Evil, Gurren Lagaan, Beavis and Butt-Head, Looney Tunes, Video Game-Inspired Cartoons/Anime, Obscure Cartoons, and a ton more fun stuff I can't list!
Other Interests: Obscure video games, Kirby, Pokemon, Raising my Pokemon Army and Neopets, Obscure Culture, Chocolate, Pizza, and Mutants
Okay, got it? Great, it's nice to be here at AR. :awesome:
Oh hey.
[Doubtfire] Hello! [/Doubtfire]
Oh hai guizz.
Hey. You know me. Now fuck off.
That's okay, I still know all of you from the old board (before it collaped). :sly:
Well golly, this forum sure is neat-o, Mr. Foggle.
HI EVERYBODY! Don't mind me, I just come and go as I please.
I am a user so legendary and sacred that I shall not be named, though for anyone who must label me with a name to avoid confusion (typical of your inferior species), you may call me by the name Ensatsu-ken, as it is the closest that your feeble minds can come to comprehending my true name in a conceivable manner of written language and speech.
I LIKE NINJA GAIDEN!
That is all....
Hey, it's great to see you again on the new board, Daxdiv and Ensatsu-Ken.
If only Angus and Gunswordfist knew about the new board. :P

Great to see you on the successor board of Animation Revelation, Angus! :joy:
All we need is Gunswordfist and we can call it even. :sly:

Uhh, I was Bison but it seems the login screen doesn't remember my old profile so I just made a new one. Seems like I'm not the only one who lost posts either.
Was lured back here by Neoking's inability to recognize how to differentiate between social environments.

Unlike back in my ToonZone days, I've received better appreciation over at those Neopets fan forums (I.E.: JellyNeo, The Daily Neopets, etc.), as well as RetroJunk. :sly:
By the way, you'll like the newer Animation Revelation better,
Bison Rosalina's Spare Wand. Catchy name though.
I've seen people act more noobish than myself on a lot of other forum sites (not just TZ).

Yeah, the old server just up and disappeared on us, so we switched. So far, it's better than before.
Welcome back.
A LOT better.
Valkyria Chronicles 2 is a good game.
It's only good if you haven't played the first. Though at least it gives you the option of using the good old Welkin Squad.

I liked both of them about equally tbh. Plot, maps, and (of course) graphics were WAY better in the first one, though.
And I bet the bosses weren't anywhere near as annoying.
Welcome back, MT.
Am I the only one that thinks of a vibrator when I see MT's new name? Hey, Rosalina gets lonely sometimes.
Bosses in VC1 were pushovers, but Selvaria always made sure you would lose your shit when you get cocky.
Also, you don't get a lot of company on a comet that only gets near human every few millions of years.
Hmmmm, I wonder what you did Foggle?
Hi, I am gunswordfist. After I moved to my new house a few days after Christmas, it took me up to last week to finally got my internet together last week, I found my way back to animation revelation when I searched for the site like I always do. I saw that y'all moved so I scrolled down and went to the new site. It was that easy.
I am a 23 year old black and white (but looks all black and apparently asian, middle eastern and/or mexican to some people :wth: ). I've been an animation and video game fan all my life. I am pretty sure those are the only two hobbies that I've always liked. In 2008, I decided to become a comic book and MMA fan because there was shit else to do in that desert. It was easy to become a comic book fan since the Batman board I am a mod in become a comic book union.
Misc. shit: I am aethist and a fan of no type of music but don't hate any of it.

But seriously, welcome back, GSF.
Just letting you guys know... :sly:
I have plans to invite a brand new member here to this site. Her name's kurimi_yuma, and she has a strong anime and manga obsession.
I first met her at Jellyneo Forums (where she goes by the name of Kohaku over there), a Neopets fan forum site I often visit. She's on MyAnimeList as KaguraHime over there. I'm also friends with her on Neopets and Facebook as well.
Since inviting Raechalbamdead failed due to her lack of interest in animation, but the person I'll invite over to AR is truly dedicated in general animation and manga. I'll drop her an invite to Animation Revelation via Facebook, and I can't wait to see her here. :shakeshakeshake:

I tend to kill those I care about quite often.... And stab them.
Hey Rissa. Thanks for the signature, again.

Nice. The Oregon coast is beautiful, love the cities/towns of Astoria, Seaside, Lincoln City, Newport, Tillamook, and Coos Bay. I'm from over in Boise, ID, and we frequently crossed over the border to get the Everclear alcohol and take advantage of the no sales tax. Also, know a few people in Portland/Gresham/Tualatin, and have gone there several times for concerts.
All I know about Oregon is that I liked crossing the trail back in 1998. Attempting to cross it, anyway, since my entire wagon train always died before I reached the end. :(

I've grown immune from the beauty of it all from living there for ten years, but on occasion it catches me by surprise.
The only thing I can't stand is the fact that it rains 50 percent of the year and you can't go outside 75 prevent of the year. It's nice to visit, but nobody wants to visit and actual rain forest.

I enjoy littering, the smell of airplane wrecks, the taste of burnt hair, justifiable arson, , putting catnip in rat traps, the high notes raccoons make when you burn them out of their nests, the sound of fingernails giving way to a pair of pliers, making puppets out of body parts found in dumpsters, and quiet walks on the beach.

Yeah, I made it down to one of the locations here last week. They... didn't have much. Keychains, mostly. I did end up buying a few, though; EEnE, Foster's... they even had the Cow and Chicken one, which was cool. Also bought a Pinky and the Brain t-shirt as well, but that's not CN, so it's a bit unrelated in this case.
At some point, I'll check out the other store in South Reno. I just have to be motivated to drive down there, since it is pretty far out of the way for me. I'm lazy, 'ya know? :sly:
How's Reno these days anyway? My Grandmother lived there in the 90s and early 2000s, up off Virginia St. past McCarran, near the old Bonanza casino(does that still exist?), and we used to go there every year for Hot August Nights, but I haven't been there since 2005. Even when we were there then we could see that many things were starting to change, and a friend I keep in contact with back in Boise says it's gotten worse, and that some of the casinos have closed. He named The Silver Legacy and Fitzgerald's specifically.
It's OK. The job situation really sucks here, though. I guess you could say this in regards to just about anywhere in the US right now, but considering Nevada leads the nation in unemployment, I think we're kind of a "special case". I'm having a hard time finding steady work around here myself, as it is. I make money doing part-time stuff, but it certainly isn't ideal, to be sure.
The Bonanza still exists, and it's still open. I actually had dinner there not all that long ago (about two weeks, give or take). Silver Legacy is also still open. I'm not sure how he got the idea that one closed, given that it is the biggest casino we have here, and tends to get most of the big name "acts" when it comes to music and/or stand-up comedy. He must have mistaken it for the numerous other downtown casinos that have shuttered within the last 3-4 years (Virginian, Golden Phoenix, etc.). He is right about Fitzgerald's, but from what I hear, they're actually supposed to be re-opening it as a non-gaming hotel later this summer.
All in all, it's OK, but not great. It was really starting to grow for a while (the new Legends mall in Sparks that opened in 2008 is pretty cool), but things have obviously slowed down for the worse. I'm sure it'll get better in due time. They brought in a minor-league baseball team two years ago, and they're supposed to be committed to revitalizing downtown, so... we'll see. Just need to get the job situation turned around, and things will be fine.

Unfortunately, talonmalon333 has been missing for quite some time, and you just can't get the full AR experience without seeing him argue with E-K and gunswordfist. :frown:
Well I just started another argument with EK so that's good enough. talon is definitely better than ensatsu-ken though.
Is it because he would always royally suck your cock? In that case, sorry that I'm not your bitch, but unlike you I'm not a complete pussy. Somehow I feel you're the type of weak fuck who would easily flinch of someone so much as lifted a finger in front of you. :D

Hey there Kiddington, and it's a pleasure to see you here at AR.
I'm Neomysterion (or Hasee of Doom back at TZ), AR's original resident Neopets maniac who's seen at Jellyneo and The Daily Neopets these days.

Yep. The domain owner thought that it was a waste of bandwidth and money, so he dropped in back in 2009. At that point, it was only Kuwa and Josh talking to themselves, so it was a mercy kill.
Kuwa now has his own blog where he can vent to no one about how FF XIII is amazing, and Josh is back at tz full time.
Welcome aboard, Kiddington.
That's cool you're in Reno; I visit there often to see my in-laws. Last visit, we discovered Caldera's.

Fell right into my trap. Everyone knows not to start shit in the intro thread so why don't you be quiet like a good boy. :sly:
Right, that's precisely why you just started shit by acting like the dumb-ass that you are like you usually do. You really are a pro at making yourself look like a moron. :humhumhum:
Hey guys.
For some reason I never actually re-registered here after the board moved. I have decided to fix that.
Hey hey hey! :joy:
Hey, nice seeing ya.
Welcome welcome! Good to see you here, Beau.
Hey man, welcome back on.
Thanks! Honestly I don't know why I didn't re-register sooner...
but with me having decided to leave TZ (for good reasons), I still need a place to discuss animation. So, better late than never, I guess.
Finally, Beau's back after months of not being on!
LOL.
Hi there.
Oh shit. I somehow missed this thread. Is there a point to me still posting in it?
Hey everyone, I'm Eddy. From Toon Zone.
Hi Eddy From Toon Zone. :>

Welcome!
Welcome, all new members!
Rynnec from ToonZone(among other places) here. Been lurking here for awhile, but never really had a reason to join.
Then TZ had its recent redesign, and the rest is history.
So I welcomed Beau, now there's three more fellow TZers signing up, welcome Eddy, ToonFaithful, and Rynnec!
Familiar faces I presume, glad you stopped by AR. ;)

Hello, hello! :happytime:
Hello. This is Goldstar. Some of you may remember me from the Toon Zone Forums when I went be the user name of Blackstar. *Hears the sounds of boos and hisses and ducks*
Wait! Hear me out! Before you look for something heavy to throw at me, let me just say that I've been lurking here for a while since...that day..., and I've been wanting to talk about toons in a nice, friendly atmosphere with like minded individuals. I'm not here to troll or to generate chaos. Since my banning from TZ, I've buried the name Blackstar and all of the negativity that came to be associated with it. That guy is dead (figuratively speaking). I'll just pop in from time to time and give the odd opinion on cartoons and other things, M'kay?
'Allo!
Welcome Black 'n Goldstar! Hope you enjoy your stay at AR. :joy:
Welcome aboard, GS. I wonder if you rmember any of us from tv.com, before tz.
Hey, I remember you from TV.com! Welcome to the site. Everyone on this board (except for GSF :bleh: ) is friendly and respectful of all other members, so you don't have to worry about good discussions getting ruined by any jerks or anything like that...once again, except for GSF. :>
Hey, I used to be "Desensitized" by I've also changed my name and attitude.
Welcome to AR!
Don't worry about the past GS. I think its safe to say most of us are over the drama filled TZ days.
Anyway, welcome aboard.
So is it a good thing that I never really posted on TZ, then?

Oh yeah, I was SNES Chalmers(actually still use the name in some places), since we are talking about name changes.

Ugh, I'm not named after the band, Jesus. Learn yourself up on them Hindi words, dumbass.
Not until you learn to understand and appreciate amazing musicians like Cobain.
Oh yeah, I totally understand the symbolism of "Rape Me" and Cobain's lashing out against the industry "raping" him, his band, and his genius. It's so, deep man.

Hi, everyone. I'm Silverstar. A lot of you already know me from Toon Zone, and some of you I've met on TV.com before that.
I've been on TZ for 5 years now (I joined back in Aug. 2007), and while I'm still there (miracle upon miracles), I'm not afraid to admit that I'm getting a little bored and frustrated with the place. I'm just getting tired of the wack-jobs and strict moderation and having the same discussions and arguments with the same people over the same things. My brother Black...er, um, Goldstar (yeah, that's the ticket!) told me about Animation Revelation, and in my spare time, I've been lurking here; this place looks cool. Everyone here is friendly and the atmosphere is so laid back, even when posters disagree with each other here they do so in a polite, tactful manner. A far cry from the zoo that is the current TZ.
So if you guys will have me, I'd like to start hanging out here.
-Now, I'm fully aware that Goldstar is already here, and having both Stars here may not sit well with everybody, given past history, but I promise the following:
1. No tag-team posts. If Goldstar has stated something and I feel similarly, then I won't jump on the bandwagon.
2. No arguments. I've mellowed with time, and over this past year or so have been trying to re-invent myself in numerous ways (some kind of strange, but I've always been strange, so...)
3. No unnecessary nitpicking. No more coming off like a "pissed-off prick", as someone on TV Tome once put it.
Glad you took me in.

Nice to see you on board, Silverstar! This brings back a lot of nostalgic memories from TV.com....back when I was a naive anime fanboy and back when there were actually competent users who could hold interesting discussions on that site.
Ah, those were the days. Now we just need Frank The Tank to full-time here and that guy I confused with Avaitor that apparently got engaged.
I think Frank was here, but then he disappeared after the first few months.
That's what I was saying except I think he was here for an even lesser time than that and only posted a handful of posts. Just like the two guys I invited here. :unimpressed:
I'm GregX. I'm a critic, a filmmaker, a sarcastic snarker, and a gentleman of leisure. I write critiques over at Worlds Finest and Marvel Animation Age.
My favorite animated series are: Gargoyles, Batman: TAS, Spectacular Spider-Man, The Venture Bros, Cowboy Bebop, Berserk, Pinky and the Brain, South Park, and classic Simpsons.
My favorite live-action series are: Babylon 5, Firefly, The Sopranos, Dexter, Weeds, Married With Children, Titus, Black Adder, Game of Thrones, and Castle.
My favorite films (this week) are: Casablanca, The Godfather, Pulp Fiction, Alien, The Avengers, The Dark Knight, Sleeping Beauty, Inglourious Basterds, Lord of the Rings, Ghostbusters, Jaws, Bonnie and Clyde, Titus and.... I'll stop now
Politically: I am just tired of the B.S. this two-party system has created.

BTW, Happy New Year, everybody.

BTW, I'd also like to point out that this is only my 2nd post in 2013.
Yeah, I don't really post much at TZ anymore. I've been thinking about deleting my profile sometime, but I never got around to it.
It just doesn't seem like anyone there is having a good time. Which is why I came here. ;)
Yo, Grave here. For the most part I've become a lurker (work), but I won't lie I came here because of the top 100 videogames. Saw that Avaitor had a response for me since the thread was closed (Got your message btw) at Toonzone.

Well, when I was a kid, I learned Math through this really pedantic book that said things like "please add three and five". I wasn't really thinking about that when I came up with this name but I guess it works as an explanation.

Hi fellas!!
The funny thing is that I started an account on toonzone (under the same name, well originally oldtimer12347) almost exactly a year ago, I intended TZ to be a place where I can post and share my thoughts once in a while, but within a few short months, that once in a while turned into 'once in a blue moon'. That's mostly due to me being busy, but a part of me did feel 'too restricted' posting there on account that most of the mods there seem too uptight so to speak (I had to be careful I didn't reply to certain posts the way I would to certain questions on Yahoo Answers, or I would have been banned for sure ;D). Anyway, I'm liking what I'm seeing from this forum, open-minded torwards animation of all eras, and most seem to get along here, I can rarely say that for any other forum. If you want to shortcut my name, C.O. or Dan would do ;).
Welcome to the board! It's always nice to have more fellow animation fans among us.

Hey hey! Welcome aboard. :)
Aloha!
Welcome to all the fresh meat.
So I noticed the user titles are now gender friendly. Did someone make you check your privilege Foggle?
I checked my own privilege, yo. It's intended as a Dollars Trilogy reference, but I figured some people wouldn't realize that and might think I was being sexist.
My image of Foggle, shattered.
Yo again.
I deactivated my account previously because, let's just say I was growing tired of message boards in general, and I called myself getting away from them, but the need to get stuff off my chest kept on popping up and not to mention the tiring days at work. I'll just say that I had a break that was needed big time.
Hi Grave! I was wondering where you went. We missed you. :)
So that's what happened! We were wondering, but hey, it's great to see you back.
Yep, had to get away for a little bit. It's good to be back though.

^Never. I don't trust Aslan as far as I can throw 'im. Among many stupid things he's done to me in the past, he put a hit of acid in my coffee one day in May which almost got me fired from my job. Actually... I caught him by surprise one day and was able to grab him by the scruff of the neck - Only able to throw him about... 2 feet-ish. What was good about this was the narrow ravine he slipped into which increased the amount at which I originally threw him. I shook my fist in the air triumphantly as I looked down upon the sorrowful Aslan, who then drowned himself at the bottom of the ravine as it then slowly began to fill in his own sea of tears.
"Take that you sonuva bitch!", I yelled.
"Hail to the new king, baby!"Sooo.... yeah, I..... sorta killed him. Inadvertently, I assure you.
But.... you can't even trust Aslan to be dead. Last I heard he was pimping centaurs in a very prominent casino in Vegas. Who knows. Just don't submit to his whims if you ever see 'im. Don't let that bastard tempt you with sexy centaurs either..
And
ALWAYS keep on eye on your coffee!

So hi, everyone. Was reading a thread earlier and it seemed like a nice place to chat so I figured "Eh, what the heck?" and registered. (A few people I know here from TZ but, best not to repeat that memory).

Hello, nice to meet everyone. I'm just an Excel Saga fan from Russia (although I moved to the US about a year ago).

To make ourselves feel old (because we all love that! :e_tongue: ), a lot of that stuff never even existed yet in the ES Forum early days. And I think YouTube only just started when we did. We've seen and been through many stages and changes in social media. It's weird to look back on it all.

And yes, this has been on show in the window of my wallet since 2002.
Some of you may recognize me. I quit the forum back in October 2010 because I stupidly ended up in the spoilers section- despite the warning labels. I decided to nip it in the bud and ban myself from the forum and therefore spoilers. I send this nice message to the mod to let them know i would be back-
QuoteIt occurred to me after I left that it may have seemed a little rash of me to leave so suddenly. So just to clear up some points, I have no ill will against the forum. It just occurred to me that I hate spoilers for ongoing series. I left the forum to nip the problem in the bud, before I found out something worse.
None of us are sure, but its looking like Excel Saga is in the stages of wrapping up, so leaving now to keep me 100% clueless regarding the finale would be for the best. I was stupid to visit that clearly marked spoiler alert topic, but a mistake is a mistake. Now I can't make that mistake again.
I'll be back when the final English volume is released (and hopefully it will be)
and yes- IM BACK!

Interesting. That happened to me for a few days a while back. I'll look into fixing it in case anyone else is experiencing this problem. Welcome back!
So I thought I'd give a proper introduction after posting in the Excel Saga section. I really like the general idea of this forum (discussing animation of all kinds), and the community feels warm and welcoming so I'll probably stick around.
I'm a 21yo male from Sweden who wasn't really into animation or TV in general until recently. I was a big PC gamer, but as a result of demolishing my fingers playing Spelunky a year ago(>_<), games fell by the wayside in favor of more passive entertainment.
Right now I'm watching mostly anime. It's an unexplored frontier for me, which makes it exciting. I'd watched some stuff before, (Welcome to the NHK is probably still my favorite and I like it more every time I watch it) but marathoning Attack on Titan really kickstarted my interest. I think I've watched more anime this past year than in my entire life. :P Comics and manga are also on my radar more than they used to be (thank you libraries).
My fingers still haven't healed, so I try to limit my typing to a degree. Therefore I may not be very active, but when I do post I try to make it worthwhile.
Anyway, since I just finished logging most of my anime past and previous I might as well share my MAL profile right here. http://myanimelist.net/animelist/goody2shoes
An application called Taiga was super helpful with this, I wouldn't have bothered without it. It will log my future shows automatically.
Anyway, I'm excited to get to know you guys! See you around ;)
Again, welcome to the forum! :) Sorry to hear about you injuring yourself so badly a year ago; I do hope you'll get to feeling like normal again soon!
Welcome to the NHK is some good stuff. I bought the original novel recently but haven't found the time to read it yet.

Well, you get what you bring on yourself. If your fingers start hurting from playing games you shouldn't ignore it. :P Thanks for the concern!

Nah, it'll still be fun. OR perhaps this may indeed cause the worst headache inducing paradox anyone has ever seen. Wooo! :sly:
i still miss neo and angus.
It's been a while (2 years I think? Might be longer). Grave/Magus here again, and again called myself staying off the forums and facebooks and twitters and whatnot. I think I succeeded in doing that for about 2 years. Work took over (had been doing anywhere between 8-12 hours and day) 5 days a week and I think at that time I had to back away from everything. I had been posting on Toonzone as of late (I think I've been back there for a full year now). 1 post a week in the videogame forums (2 posts a month depending on how tired I am).
I have been getting a little more time on my hands which is why I'm back. My videogame time is limited and it's been focused on, for the most part, fighting games (I have a huge backlog of games that I need to tackle).
I've completely given up on anime. My sister got me to watch Attack on Titan, but it wasn't enough to get me interested in watching other shows.
I've just about given up on manga. I still read Bleach, but my God this has been something terrible. Great artwork as always though (Not too keen on Juhabach's design though)
I know nobody cares about the name choice, and one would think it'd be because of the character from FMA, and that would be partially true but my love for this beast right here http://gearheads.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/1967_ford_mustang_shelby_gt500.jpeg?34dab0 is the reason for the name, but overall I just like Mustangs in general. (along with the Challenger)
Anyway I'll try to post on a regular if I'm not to tired (I know I can definitely post on weekends, for now though).
Welcome back! It's good to see you back on the boards again. :joy:
Seeing as how you don't spend any time on anime or manga anymore, is there anything else that you're watching or reading in other mediums?
As far as gaming goes, I have tried a bunch of fighting games, but lately only Capcom games have been holding my interest. I tried to get into KOF, and while I respect its combat system and depth, something about it doesn't quite click with me enough to keep me playing it. I've had trouble getting into other popular fighting games as well like MKX and Injustice, among others. I am however interested in trying Tekken 7 and Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator. Other than that I've just been playing Dark Souls and Metal Gear, so my gaming is also pretty limited these days.
Actually I've been playing catch up on the DC animation films. Batman Under the Red Hood and Year One were the latest ones I've seen. Justice League is always being watched with about a 2-3 month break in-between so I don't grow tired of it. Not so much reading going on unfortunately. I would probably start buying/reading comics online (if there were an option) but I wouldn't even know where to start.
I do have Netflix as well so I'm hoping to start watching Daredevil soon as well.
Tekken 7 is the one I am waiting on. I'll be 32 this August and I haven't screamed like a little schoolgirl since I was about 12. I'm not going to play him, but seeing Akuma got me hyped when he was announced.
You're not alone when it comes to KoF. Even though I liked 13, KOF14 is not clicking with me. While I'm still a graphics whore I'm capable of putting that aside if the gameplay is smooth. And something about KOF14's animation is off to me, kinda like why I don't particularly care for Mortal Kombat. It looks stiff. I'll try it but I don't think I'll invest time into it.
I've been tempted to buy Dark Souls as of late just to try it out, but never got around to doing so. Metal Gear, I've had MGS5 for quite some time and still haven't played it. Revelator has been stealing a lot of my time as of late.
Welcome back, man! I need to catch up on DC animated films myself.
Quote from: Mustang on June 26, 2016, 04:35:23 PMActually I've been playing catch up on the DC animation films. Batman Under the Red Hood and Year One were the latest ones I've seen. I would probably start buying/reading comics online (if there were an option) but I wouldn't even know where to start.
I really liked Wonder Woman, The New Frontier, Year One, and The Dark Knight Returns Parts I and II as far as DC animated films go (and maybe a few others), but most of the last few have really soured my opinion on them. I hated Justice League: Doom, The Flashpoint Paradox, Son of Batman, Court of Owls, and Justice League: Gods and Monsters. However, apparently a lot of other people like those, so maybe you'll find enjoyment in them as well. I personally just really hated how they portrayed most of the characters in those movies myself, though.
QuoteI do have Netflix as well so I'm hoping to start watching Daredevil soon as well.
That's probably one of my favorite currently running shows, though I'm not looking forward to having to wait at least two years or more for the next season. I'd also recommend Jessica Jones which takes place in the same Universe and has an even darker tone.
QuoteTekken 7 is the one I am waiting on. I'll be 32 this August and I haven't screamed like a little schoolgirl since I was about 12. I'm not going to play him, but seeing Akuma got me hyped when he was announced.
I'm still curious to see how an SF character will control in a Tekken game. Playing as Akuma without a traditional six-button combat scheme will certainly feel very awkward to me.

I pretty much agree with all of that.

Just fair warning on Dark Souls, if you aren't a fan of slow-paced combat, then it definitely won't be your type of game. While I do like the game a lot more than I thought I would, it still feels rather sluggish to me (that's not to be confused with unresponsive, though, because it controls very well). I'm really looking forward to Nioh by Team Ninja, which looks to be like the best thing that they've come out with since Ninja Gaiden II on the XBOX360 (which was 8 freaking years ago). I've always liked the Feudal Japan setting more than the European Medieval one, and while I missed the Alpha Demo, I'm hoping to get a chance to play the Beta in a couple of months. The gameplay style is clearly in the same vein as Dark Souls, but with a bit more emphasis on speed and some combos from what I've seen. It could still suck given Team Ninja's track record lately, but I'm holding out hope for a return to form from them.
I'm slowly working my way through the Metal Gear franchise. I played MGS2 over a decade ago and beat MGS3 recently in the HD collection, and am now about halfway through the original MSX2 Metal Gear. I'm planning to work my way through all of the main games in the franchise (though I'll skip MGS3 after replaying 2 since I already just beat that one), so it'll be a long time before I manage to finally get to MGS5, and based on what I've heard about it I may not even be able to finish that game.
Nice seeing you again!
Hi, I'm not new but am returning after... years away?
I was originally known as beau on here but then I came out as trans a few years ago and changed my display name. Then I kind of disappeared from most forums because social media took over my life more or less. Now I return with yet another new display name, you can call me either of the names shown, I don't care which.
When I was here before I was really into MLP:FiM, these days I don't really watch it. I moved on, simply. Don't hate it now or anything, just quit watching it. Fell in love with different things over time.
I'm most active on twitter by far, you can catch me there if you wish.
Welcome back, Clover!!

Welcome! Just FYI, it's a long story but Micki! and I were able to get the original Excel Saga Forum domain back last year. While this was being used as the temporary home for that, you can find the original one resurrected at the old URL if you're interested: https://excelsagaforum.com. It's not very active though...
I found it :-) it has been so long since I have seen you all but a part of me always thought of the old site and you guys :e_hail: hehehe I still remember these little emojis so much :e_wink:
