^Neat stuff! Never heard the Mondo Cane material before. Reminds me a little of his stuff with Mr. Bungle.

Mike Patton is one of those few musicians who I feel can do any style of music. Same with Bruce, Zappa and Akerfeldt.
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

^Yes, being versatile is what truly makes a good artist, in my opinion - No limitations at what can be done.

Unless Auto-Tune is somehow involved in the equation. lol!

I'm bored enough to rank how each of the following singers take on the song "Remember Tomorrow"-

Bruce Dickinson- The best. They don't do it live much anymore, but when they did, especially during the Early Years tour, he nails it.
Mikael Akerfeldt- I think Opeth's cover of this was the first song where he kept his clean voice all the way through, and it's incredible. A damn-near perfect cover.
Paul Di'Anno- Personally, I don't think Di'Anno's voice was meant for slower songs like this, but there is sincerity in his take of the song that does make it stand out on the original album. It's not my favorite version of the song, but it's a classic.
James Hetfield- 'nuff said.

Have I ever got into all the problems I have with That Metal Show on here? If I haven't, that's a shame, since I could go on and on, but for some reason, I still watch every episode.

Well, they have some fun features to check out, like this new lightning round where they ask all of their guests the same questions. One question that keeps on showing up in that, as well as in some of their recent interview videos, is which album said guest was the first that they bought with their own money. Check out how varied some of these answers are:

-Jason Newsted has 2- Jeff Beck's Blow by Blow and the first KISS
-Bobby Blitz from Overkill worked at a pressing where he was able to score a couple of copies of the first Black Sabbath
-Corey Taylor's first was Somewhere in Time (which I knew), while Stone Sour Josh Rand's was Stay Hungry (while I haven't heard of this guy until he was on)
-Pantera's own Rex Brown bought ZZ Top's Tres Hombres on 8-track. Makes sense, right?
-Sebastian Bach of Skid Row fame's first was... a 45 of CW McCall's "Convoy". Go figure.
-Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen got Deep Purple's In Rock
-Former Ozzy guitarist Jake E. Lee (who is in a band with Di'Anno now, of all things) got In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida first
-And Don Jamison, one of the show's three hosts, first bought Iron Maiden's debut

I just like random bits of trivia like this, even if I don't like the artists in question. How about you?

Edit: Besides these, I know that Lars and Yngwie both got Purple's Fireball before anything else.

I feel like I'm the oddball when it comes to music, especially when it comes to anime/game forums, especially since I'm no fan of metal.

Run DMC
Fat Boys
LL Cool J
Bone Thugs n Harmony
Michael Jackson
Kirk Franklin
Donnie McClurkin

I like a nice variety of people. There are more favorites, but I don't feel like making a long list post at the moment.

Ghosth have been touring with Opeth, Skeletonwitch, AIC and even Maiden and Slayer, but the only show we're getting for them is one with freaking A7X.

If the tickets are cheap enough, I might go anyway. But I'm not sure.

So I've been getting back into the Mountain Goats, and I just want to know, what's it going to take to get someone else on this board to listen to them?

Same with Ghost. It sucks that I'm the only one who seems to listen to either act on here.

If it makes you feel better, I did look up Ghost on YouTube once after hearing you mention them. ;D
Not really sure if doom metal is my thing yet. But I do try to keep an open ear.

Chances are good now that there's Spotify.
