Let's get this show on the road!
Like many of you, I'm an avid reader of comics and so, I thought it only appropriate that the next tournament I host on our forum is dedicated to this noble art-form. However, before you can begin nominating your personal favorites, there are a few things I'd like to clarify:
This tournament is open for comics of all formats, so before you ask; yes, you can nominate manga. I know we already had a "Greatest Manga Tournament" sometime ago, but I see no reason to leave out Japanese comics on that basis alone.
For the moment, I'll allow each member to nominate up to 40 comics of their choice. That said, that amount may be expanded, should it prove necessary.
Finally, please make sure to write the name(s) of the creator(s) of the comics you nominate. Thank you.

I'll nominate a little later, but I have a few questions first:
Are all manga eligible, or only ones that weren't previously a part of the Greatest Manga Tournament?
Also, when it comes to nominating Superhero comics, should we nominate by story arc, the specific run handled by a writer/artist duo, or just the entire book in general?
And just a suggestion...but I think allowing everyone to nominate up to 40 comics might be a bit too much. It'd probably better if we limited ourselves to 16 or 20 per each member. Past competitions have suffered from overcrowding, so I think we should try to be stricter about the limits and what we nominate.
Those are some good questions, I shall answer them in the order they were given:
All manga are eligible. So, if you want to nominate a few from the Greatest Manga Tournament, go ahead.
This one's a bit tougher, since any comic with multiple writers/artists tend to vary in quality over the years. I'd say, let's go with specific runs.
You make a good point about the overcrowding. Very well, 20 nominations it is (for now).

So, some of my nominations will probably be of things I haven't read the whole run of, but love some arcs of. Like Fables. I love what I've read, but I'm still really early in it.

Sorry man, I'll have to agree with LumRanmaYasha that previous tournaments suffered from overcrowding and I'd like to keep this one a bit more manageable.
However, I have decided to extend the cap from 20 nominations per person to 30, so you should still have ten left. Choose wisely, or do you wish me to simply add the extra ones in your previous post to the list in the OP?

Yeah, I know most of what I've nominated has been manga, but there's not many other western comics not already nominated that I've read and feel strongly enough to nominate in comparison. I was also debating for a bit on what I wanted my final nomination would be, but I ultimately decided to choose Toriko to honor the series' recent conclusion.
The tournament now includes 117 comics, which I believe is a sufficient number. Nominations are now closed and I'll try to have the actual tournament up and running shortly. However, If there's anyone who wants to change one of their previous nominations, there's still time for that.
