Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

The fight with Murasaki was definitely my favorite part of the White Tower portion of the RRA arc, and one of the funniest parts of the series. My favorite antagonist in the arc is still probably General Blue, though Tao Pai Pai was great as well.

I wish I could find more scenes of Murasaki on YouTube, but like I said, he's underrated, so people don't upload that many. I found General Blue to be pure comedy gold during the Penguin Village part of the arc. Seeing him get his ass kicked by both Goku AND Arale was priceless.

I love Tao Pai Pai as Goku's first serious threat in this arc. The scene where he kills Bora in front of Goku, and Goku is powerless to stop him after that, is a genuinely well done scene as far as the more serious ones go. His comeback fight is also excellent.

God, I love this show!

And here's another classic from Fumoffu: http://youtu.be/oE3cv35ah-U

I'm watching this movie again, and man, is this still a powerhouse of an opener. I don't think there's a better opening sequence in animation, one that so perfectly sets up the world you're about to explore and hints at the characters to arrive.

Well, aside from this.

Well, aside from this.

I 100% agree. As much as people love to call the movie overrated just because it was so popular, I don't care. It is still one of my favorite animated movies of all time.

And that opening scene is still amazing.

People who hate The Lion King make me sad. :srs:

Another amazing animated film opening scene is the one from Redline. ;D

gunswordfist

lmao, people are calling The Lion King overrated? I thought y'all were talking about some kind of obscure Disney movie, not THE Disney movie.

Yeah, that first race was really hard to top. In fact, I'd say that the main race from the series was great all the way up through the end, but there's just something about that opening that felt unmatched to me.

On another note, The Hunchback of Notre Dame has my favorite opening song from a feature-length animated film.

And if we're talking about which animated movies have our favorite climaxes or endings, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker and Summer Wars are probably my two most favorite ever, in that regard.

Circle of Life is one of my top 3 favorite moments in animation. I'm being serious.

gunswordfist

It's not like that would be a real shocker choice.

Oh yeah, Redline has a great opener. And I almost did post "The Bells of Notre Dame" here as well, EK, but I couldn't find the full animated version on YouTube. That's another excellent piece.
