There's no reason for [as] to occupy the 9 PM spot, in all honesty. Especially on Fridays. They can always start a half or full hour later and extend Cartoon Planet a little.

Precisely. Nickelodeon has Nick at Nite begin later on weekends, why can't Cartoon Network do the same with Adult Swim? CN can skip the FOX animated sitcoms for 1 or 2 nights. Honestly, I'd like to see AS go back to airing only 2 nights a week, but I know that won't happen. I'd settle for AS starting later, say at 10pm, 11pm or midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

On a semi-related note, would it kill Turner to run Megas XLR on Boomerang? Even just for a month? Boom is currently airing a double dose of The Powerpuff Girls at 10PM (EST), why not give 1 of those slots to Mgeas XLR? I realize that Megas only has 26 episodes, but there are only 23 episodes of Swat Kats (the last of which wasn't even a "real" episode-it was a clip show with no original animation) and that ran on Boom for a long time. Megas, Sheep in the Big City, Time Squad, Robot Jones, etc., were all produced by CN Studios and so Turner owns them all outright. It wouldn't cost Turner a dime to air them, yet none of these shows have ever aired on Boomerang. Not even briefly. Boom is on 24/7, there are enough hours in the day to run a few of the shows that they own on their rerun channel.

Another week, another set.

Eds
PPG
Camp Lazlo
Gym Partner

I don't get why the block will only show the first 2 seasons of EEmE. It's not fair to people like me who have both DVDs and think the later seasons are so much better, but this one is a classic, the Canadian squirt gun one. And this Lazlo happens to be the only one I kinda like, the one with the leech, if only for the ending.

In regards to EEnE, I'm starting to wonder that myself (yes, I actually did catch it this week; the entire hour, as a matter of fact).

As much as I like the first two seasons, I really have no interest in watching them on TV at this point, given that I already own the DVD sets. My goal now is to save up as many Season 3+ episodes that I can on my DVR, since it doesn't look like we'll ever be getting the rest of this on DVD. What they're doing now, just airing the early stuff that I already have and nothing else, isn't doing it for me.

Pretty mediocre week, otherwise. Why is it every time I watch I get stuck with Lazlo? And then they even threw Gym Partner in on top of that. Talk about overkill.  :srs:

Avaitor

it's always stuck in a cycle You'll get a week of 3 7-minute shorts and 2 11-minute ones, usually containing Dexter or one of its segments, JB, C&C/Weasel, Grim or Evil (another problem I have like I do with their Ed airings- they only stick to season 1 of B&M. Which really sucks since the first is by far the weakest) and Flapjack, then a week of all 11-minute shorts usually consisting fo PPG, EEnE, Courage, Lazlo or Chowder. Then do the same thing each other week. It gets tiresome.

Especially since they're already repeating Brak and Zorak segments. It's getting to the point where I actually skip them now.

Yeah, the more I watch them, the more I've concluded that the Brak and Zorak segments really aren't that good.

There's something missing here, and I can't quite place it. I don't know if it lacks the comic fodder of Space Ghost that badly or what, but this just isn't what I was expecting.

Avaitor

They just seem rushed and unpolished. I really don't think it's the lack of Space Ghost, but just that they were made to quickly and are too brief and ultimately pointless.

It's missing Moltar!

He would help.  :awesome:

...speaking of which, have you watched the new Cartoon Planet yet, Spark? What do you think of it?

Moltar wasn't in Cartoon Planet, though. :bleh:

But Brak was barely in C2C to begin with, but a lot of people still associate him with it, so whatever.

I haven't watched one of these in full since the first one(I saw part of one the other week),because I'm always doing something else.  Movies come out on Fridays, so I go to those with friends, or sometimes we are just hanging out downtown(such as last night).
It doesn't matter what you say, soon you'll be dead anyway.

Avaitor

I usually have nothing better to do, so I watch the full hour. If not, my DVR records them and I watch later. I'll stop when they start reairing cartoons.

Another week, another show.

Courage
Flapjack
Foster's
Chowder

Pretty weak set, Courage aside, which is a classic. "That is the worst case of chicken pox I have ever seen!".

My week's picks:

Johnny Bravo
Dexter
Billy & Mandy
Weasel
KND

Pretty good one. They even picked a later B&M ep this time.

I tried watching this week's, but after a couple of minutes of Camp Lazlo, I got so bored that I quit.

Yes, I hate Lazlo more than Gym Partner.
