Yeah, I only have the first set too. I just couldn't afford to keep up, but now that I'm into some birthday money, I'll try to get both as soon as  I can.

The fact that the next 2 sets actually have bonuses give me incentive to pick them up and not rely on Netflix anymore, too.
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

Nice cover. Love the little allusion to the magic meatball episode especially.

Something I learned today- they used to have a Rocko character walk around at Universal.

Here he is with Joe Murray. Strange-looking bugger, innit he?

Rough draft of Shout's complete set for Rocko, coming February. For some reason season 4 on its own is coming out after its release, with no confirmed date set.

Honestly, if I see this and it's cheap enough, I might just buy this set and pawn off my copy of the first season. I just can't find 2 and 3 here anymore/

Mr. Big

I didn't realize that the Rocko DVDs were selling well (better than other Nicktoons DVDs that Shout's handling?).

This is kinda annoying because I already have the first three DVDs. I'll probably just wait for the separate 4th disk, although like Avaitor, I may just pawn off the other three DVD and buy the boxset if the price is good.

I'd be more inclined to buy the boxset if it included extra special features, but I seriously doubt that'll be the case. I mean, new artwork from Murray is cool and all (and that pic is great; pretty much every iconic moment from the series, all in one hand-drawn screengrab), but I don't know if I feel like buying it all again. I already have the first three sets, so I'd rather just finish those off for now.

I dunno, we'll see. Maybe if it's priced accordingly, I'll go for it.

Avaitor

I have to confess that complete series sets with extra bonuses is one of my pet peeves. I know it's meant for fans to double dip, but I see it as rewarding those who passed on the season sets.

And yeah, I wouldn't really have given thought to buying this myself, but I only own 1/4 of the series, so it's hardly a double dip for me.

IMO, I'd rather if they did it backwards. Release the full series set then depending on sales release single seasons for unsure customers.

That way at least fans get the full series released in some way.

I already own volumes 1-3, so I'll just buy volume 4 and complete my set. I do like how that concept art features just about every character who's appeared on Rocko's Modern Life, though, including "Skid Marks", one of my favorite Rocko shorts.

Season 3 came out? I am so out of the loop on dvd releases for these Shout Factory releases.  :wth:

Rocko is the only one I've been keeping up with. Ever since they decided to split all of the other releases into these quasi-half sets (Hey Arnold especially), my interest has severely waned.

The only one I might put up with that shit for, at this point, is early Rugrats. Because man, those episodes are more than worth it.

Oh, that's actually just going to end up being a lithograph which Shout will give out to the first 200 people who pre-order the set. Below is the actual cover.

 :swoon:

This could not have come at a better time, what with Netflix taking down all the Viacom shows by the end of the month and all.

LumRanmaYasha

When I get around to watching it, it will surely be a hoot.  ;)
