Greatest Video Game Theme Ever Tournament

I should probably start explaining some of my choices like in other threads, but it's hard for me to describe my feelings about music other than I like the sound of it or I don't.

What? It's probably easy to describe why you like an entire theme you heard than one episode of some show you watched just because it was in a tournament.

Then show me proof with your descriptions. All that's been said about any themes so far is that it's either catchy or you don't like it or it's too short. In fact, nobody on this thread has really said anything analytical about any themes that they like. I can easily say something about an episode of a show other than just I like it or I don't. I can say WHY I like it or WHY it's not good. On the other hand, I have yet to see anyone really come up with the words to explain why something is catchy or why it sounds dull or generic. All of those words are really very vague descriptors and not actual explanations as to why a piece of music is good.

I have to say, the only vocal Sonic themes I like are Open Your Heart and It Doesn't Matter. This isn't either of them.

For me it's 3 themes: Open Your Heart, Live And Learn, and whatever Knuckle's ending theme was from SA1 (I can't recall the name right now).

Well, actually, I also kind of like Escape From The City as well, but I actually like the "classic" Sonic version of that song (from Generations) over the original version.

Knuckles' theme is "Unknown from M.E"

I actually like quite a few of the vocal Sonic themes, even the ones from terrible games like Shadow the Hedgehog and 06. I will admit that some of them don't really fit the series 100% though.

I have to say that, largely for nostalgic reasons, I like a lot of the vocal songs from the SA games, mainly Live and Learn, Escape from the City, and It Doesn't Matter (SA2 version). It Doesn't Matter in particular really takes me back. I don't even fully know why.

That said... I think Seven Rings in Hand is kind of lame, to the point that I ironically like it. A lot. So expect me to vote it higher than it deserves to be voted. I doubt it'll move on anyway.

Seven Rings in Hand - When I first heard this song, I didn't really like it all that much, but after hearing the Crush 40 cover, and listening to the original a few more times, it's grown on me. Not one of the best vocal Sonic tracks (and not even the best from its game), but its decent on its own. The shortened Brawl version loses some of the "oomph" of the full version.
