Megas XLR creator George Krstic made multiple posts from his Twitter account (https://twitter.com/GeorgeKrstic) announcing that Nickelodeon has greenlit a new show from Titmouse featuring giant robots.
It's not Megas XLR, but he hints at a crossover.

The fact that Cartoon Network no longer has any broadcasting rights to Megas XLR is disappointing, since this means that there's zero chance that Megas will ever turn up on Boomerang (but that wasn't likely to happen anyway), but I plan to watch the new series when it debuts on Nick.
Steven Jay Blum better be the main character.
Seriously, I hope it's a great show. Besides more Korra, I'm not looking forward to any new cartoons anyway.

Much-needed update time!
The title of the show will be called Prodigal and George Krstic has been releasing concept art on his Twitter.
