I'm so happy. :joy: :joy:
This is great news! The two-year wait is going to be a killer, though. At least it will give me ample enough time to re-watch the show, though. It's been a long time since I last watched it.
I haven't seen Twin Peaks yet. My brother is a huge fan of it, though, and we and a few friends are making plans to watch it this December. So I'll be ready for the return.
I remember watching it for the first time in 2010. Truly fantastic and unforgettable series outside of those weird episodes in season 2 where it randomly turned into a legitimate soap opera for some reason. I'd say roughly 80% of it is some of the greatest television of all time, though.
Really glad to hear of the return of Twin Peaks. This was one of the few shows that would make me plan to shut off my Sega Genesis so I wouldn't miss an episode. :il_hahaha:
Such news is going to demand that I give both the series and movie a re-watch... Two years in which to do it. :shit:
I haven't watched this show, before. Perhaps I should hold off and time it so that I watch it a bit closer to when this new series is scheduled to come out, so that way I'll have less of a wait to deal with than all of you guys. :sly:
It shouldn't take long to go through it, anyways, considering that it's only 2 seasons long.
Lynch might not come back. (http://www.avclub.com/article/david-lynch-says-he-hasnt-returned-yet-new-season--216643)
DON'T DO THIS TO ME

I'm willing to wait however long I need to for this.
Behind-the-scenes featurette released. (http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4xyelq)
Premiere date: May 21 at 9PM on Showtime. (http://www.msn.com/en-us/tv/news/twin-peaks-everything-weve-learned-about-the-revival-so-far/ar-BBy5PoD)
It's time.
I won't be able to start season 3 for a week or two since I'm re-watching the original series with my fiancee first. I barely remember anything about it and she's never seen it before. This will also be my first viewing of The Missing Pieces!
If anyone posts untagged spoilers I will nuke the entire forum from orbit, so please be courteous. ;)
So I was wondering why the midget didn't come back, and...

Did David Lynch run over his dog or something, because they seemed to have a great working relationship in the past with Twin Peaks and Mulholland Drive.
Well, it finished. I loved the whole thing from start to finish. After reading and thinking about the finale for a while, it's left me feeling really depressed and hollow. Should they decide to do a season 4, it functions as an excellent setup for some terrifying surreal horror; if not, it's one of the bleakest and most thematically brilliant endings I've ever seen. The new season provided closure and good-hearted fanservice for longtime fans while also being a giant piss-take and criticism of TV series revivals in equal measure. I laughed almost constantly, I cried on occasion, I was on the edge of my seat for a large portion of it. A masterwork, and the greatest piece of television I've seen since The Wire (perhaps not better than it, but certainly the only thing that's even come close for me).
