How was 2018 for you?

I know Christmas is not even here and I'm talking about overviews and year in reviews, but I've been doing lots of thinking about my ps4.

Looking back in 2017, I thought that year was solid for me. Dag near broke the 1st 3 months because there were big hits back-to-back-to-back. Mass Effect Andromeda hit me hard though with how disappointing it ended up being and I've never really recovered from it. Anyhow, I was still buying games like crazy throughout 2017 and built up such a massive backlog that I don't think I'll ever get to due to my love for fighting games.

2018 however, I wouldn't necessarily call it a bad year for me but it most certainly wasn't a great year. Out of all the games that I purchased this year (which wasn't a lot. Maybe 5-7 games) I've only played Marvel's Spider-Man, BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle, Dragon Ball Fighterz, and Street Fighter 30th Anniversary. I never finished Spider-Man, lost interest in Dragon Ball. The other 2 I come back to every now and then. Like I said, I won't say it's been a bad year because I'm fairly certain that games like Darksiders 3, God of War, and Assassin's Creed would've done something for me, but I can't get into them. I've no interest in Red Dead Redemption 2 or Call of Duty and never will. I don't think I'd even call it a disappointing year, but I will say it may be a phase I'm going through (this topic could've went a lot deeper in how I'm disappointed in the PS4 in general. Caught myself saying "I should've gotten an XB1 over PS4 a couple times that's for sure)

I can't comment on other consoles since I don't have them (gave my switch to my brother and his kids). I might get another one in the long run (I think I'm waiting on Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei)

2019 is definitely looking like a great year though.
