From 1992-1996 this was the only magazine I read. Even though it's sucked for a very long time, I'm sad to see it go.

Rosalinas Spare Wand

So sad to see another video game publication bite the dust. Even if its sucked in the last few years, it was always a decent read on the toilet.

So how long until Tips and Tricks shuts down? That one is honestly the most irrelevant magazine still in publication.

It's been a whole year since I've last recieved a Codebook, and I haven't seen any new ones in stores either. Safe to say that they're gone for good this time.

Pains me to say it, but I actually agree with you about it being irrelevant in this day and age. Which is a shame because T&T was my favorite magazine to read back in the day, so I'm sad to see it go.

I always loved their April Fool's Day issues (when they renamed themselves "LamePro"). They haven't actually done one of those in a number of years, though (I think 2006 or 2007 was the last one, if I'm not mistaken).

...anyway, yeah, 'tis a shame to see them go. Obviously they haven't been any good in a long time, and really, as far as I'm concerned, I don't even read game magazines anymore as it is (aside from Nintendo Power) but I'm still sad to see that they're calling it a day. Too bad.

Again?! (Or was that another game magazine?)

I remember when GamePro was great. They had the best ratings system ever with how they scored graphics, fun factor, sound, etc. and I loved those comic book pin name. Then a few years ago, they had a shitty 5.0 system and way too many games got half a page reviews. Also, the comic book pin names were nowhere to be seen. GamePro was probably my favorite. It'll be missed even though it was dead in my eyes years ago. Nothing beats reading game info from magazines.

It's a shame to see another mag come to a close, regardless of how good it was.

GamePro was good at one time, but they succumbed to the issue I find most game journalists do, and that's simply not getting the target audience. Heck, most game companies don't even get the target audience of these things, so I'm not that surprised.
