No I don't mean variety as in different genres of games you buy- what I do mean is doing different activities in a game like say having a motorcycle level in a beat em up. What are some are your favorite examples? Least favorite?

Favorites:

-Vampire hack n slash with actual camera controls in MGS3

-The greatest motorcycle sequence in video game history in MGS3. Still amazed that was on a PS2.

-2nd best motorcycle sequence in James Bond 007 Everything Or Nothing. You know what, video time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9vAtgvY5xw Turn the sound up and please watch all of it. It's simply orgasmic.

-Joker in Mass Effect 2. Approaching water cooler territory now.

Teeth pullers:

-Indoors stealth mission at the end of Assassin's Creed II.

I'll post more later. Now I'm going to look up a certain video game theme now.

From what I remember, Donkey Kong 64 had a bit of everything; an absurd amount of item collecting, several racing levels, a fly-swatting mini-game...

...needless to say, I didn't like any of it.  :srs:

the only thing that needed to be completely removed in all the Jak games. Totally needless.

Agreed. Unfortunately, Jak 3 would be about 90 minutes long without the racing.
