Inspired by talon's post where he talked about how he wanted every good feature from each port of Resident Evil to be in one port of the game. In this thread do that but with any of your favorites. Or not so favorites. I don't care.

Duke Nukem 3D:
-Atomic Edition
-Third Party Episodes
-N64 version's Pulse Rifle
-N64's ability to actually save the women
-Modding
-Co-Op and Multiplayer
I've only played the XBLA and some of the PC version so feel free to add more to this.

Street Fighter 3:
-Every stage
-Every piece of music from every version of the game
-Playable Shin Akuma and the Shin Akuma boss battle
-Every character select screen. They can draw the missing character icons in, dammit. Every main menu screen.
-Online Edition's bonus features

TMNT IV:
-The Arcade version's online play and 4 player co-op
-Whatever extras the SNES version had
-4 player online co-op but without the terrible 3D, lol

Word. Unfortunately, it would have to be Nintendo exclusive as the reason the Ubisoft game didn't include the SNES content is because they're contractually obligated to only release it on Nintendo systems.

Viewtiful Joe:
The exact same gameplay and level design from the Gamecube version
PS2 extras like Dante but without slowdown and whatnot
Level select and world map between levels
Trailer for Viewtiful Joe 3 by Platinum Games

Sonic the Hedgehog 3:
Full level select of Sonic 3 & Knuckles
Music options for Sonic 3 or S&K mid-boss or bonus music
Widescreen display
New story cutscenes for Knuckles, Tails solo, and Sonic solo (Sonic & Tails keep the originals)
A bunch of the bonus stages from S&K lock on with non-Sonic games
Basically, I want this released for all systems

I forget what I said for RE2, but I'll try to remember.

Resident Evil 2 (Steam and Various Consoles
- All the content from the original version
- "Extreme Battle" mini-game from the Dual Shock PS1 re-release
- Easy and Rookie difficulty modes from the Dual Shock PS1 re-release
- Hard difficulty mode from the PC version
- Gallery from the PC version
- Item Randomizer from the N64 version
- New files from the N64 version
- New Costumes from the N64 version
- Skippable cutscenes from the GameCube version

Final Fantasy III, V, and VI (Steam and Various Consoles)
- Updated 2D ports (not 3D) along the lines of the PSP remakes of I, II, and IV, and released alongside re-releases of said games

Super Mario Bros./Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (Wii U and 3DS eShop)
- Graphics and sound from the SNES versions
- Physics from the NES versions
- Extras from the GBC versions
- World map from the GBC versions (updated to 16 bit, of course)
- Released alongside SNES versions of SMB2, SMB3, and SMW in an updated widescreen version of All-Stars

Chrono Trigger (Wii U eShop)
- Sound quality from SNES version
- [Optional] FMV from the PS1 version
- Added content from the DS version
- [Optional] touch controls from the DS version

Ninja Gaiden 2:
-Can toggle violence level between original and Sigma 2
-Enemy count remains the same as in the original, except for Chapter 9, which Sigma 2 actually improved
-Enma's Fang from S2 included
-All costumes from both versions of the game included as unlockables
-Co-op missions from S2 included
-Female playable characters in S2 included, but are optional in story mode
-Can opt to play any level as any playable character
-All exploding land and water mines removed like in S2 version
-Include New Game + from original and Chapter Challenge from S2
-Projectile weapons have limited ammo and UTs like in original
-Can equip two projectile weapons at a time like in S2
-All S2 exclusive bosses included, but in a boss challenge mode outside of story mode
-Dismemberment mechanics based on original game rather than S2
-Less projectile spam like in S2, but also no OHK grab moves like in original
-All major glitches are removed, like in S2

All of that would arguably be enough to make NG2 the best action game ever

I'd also say each of those should include emulations of the original versions, which is something DuckTales Remastered should have had.

They can't, apparently. Some sort of legal red tape prevented them from including the NES version either in Remastered or on the VC.

Dr. Ensatsu-ken

Well, for NG2, I was referring to combining already existing content in both versions of the game, so none of it would really be new, but rather existing features implemented in new ways for a single overall package, so VGS really wouldn't be needed for that. Now, if we're talking about adding new content to the game, then VGS would be the only ones capable of doing it.

gunswordfist

ek understands this thread. :worship:

Also, I forgot Sigma had co-op. How does that work?

Dr. Ensatsu-ken

It's online only. From what I've heard, it works fine if both players have good Internet connection, but since the netode is shitty, anything less than optimal connection will cause lag, so an ethernet cable is pretty much a necessity.

gunswordfist

Of course the netcode is shit. Fucking Team Ninja Dog...
