RIP3 E3

After cancelling the past few years due to COVID, the ESA has officially announced the death of E3.

I saw this while I was at work. I think even before COVID, you could see the decline, but to the degree of total cancellation? I don't necessarily have any fond memories because I never went, and for the most part I came up with X-play and they were how I was able to see some of the earlier E3's. That being said, with all the Directs, Tee-House thingy, and Geoff's summer games, the writings were on the wall. The one thing I will say that I'll definitely miss because I feel like these directs tend to be a waste sometimes, are the Sony hours, Microsoft hours, Nintendo hours, etc etc. Sure a lot of it was fluff in-between the big hitters, but still, it was something. I think all they really needed to do was take away the suit and ties and this could've still been a thing, IMO.

But definitely RIP.
