Moby ft. Gwen Stefani - "South Side"

Man I hadn't heard this in literal years until just the other day. Still as catchy as ever though.

Joan Jett- "Don't Abuse Me"

I decided to listen to this album all the way through. It's a bit monotonous, but I mean, it's Joan. She has an honesty to even her weakest stuff that makes her at least marginally listenable.
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

Blancmange - "Living on the Ceiling"

Oh man, this.

So this doesn't really fit into the thread. But tonight, at the music venue I work for, there was a Lorde concert. Now I'm not really the hugest fan of this girl, however, the concert was awesome (at least the parts I heard). It was just really fun, maybe the most fun concert I've worked all summer, and you could really feel the fun in the whole venue.

U2 released their new album for free on iTunes today. I got home from work and just found that a random new album had auto-downloaded into my library. I'll take it!

Tom Petty- "Southern Accents"

My uncle saw this tour, and he did use a Confederate flag for the back. Not cool... but it's still a good album.

Other than Kelly Clarkson and, to a certain extent, Carrie Underwood, I feel like I am so over everyone who was ever on American Idol.

Avaitor

How many other people from there besides Daughtry have had much of a career after it?

Clay Aiken did pretty well, though I'm not sure how well he's still doing at this point in time. I also couldn't tell you many radio songs he's done.

Daughtry is good, too.

Avaitor

I remember Clay Aiken doing okay for a while, yeah. I don't know what he's been up to after Spamalot, though.

From what I can tell, Idol stars usually have one successful album, if that, and fade away into obscurity after a little while. Kelly Clarkson, Cary Underwood and Daughtry are the exceptions to the rule that I can think of.

Tripping Daisy - Field Day Jitters

This is probably going to go down being one of my favorite track ones.
