It's the end of an age. The finale airs tonight at 6PM with an encore immediately after, and a day-long marathon to celebrate the end of the show.

I'm a little disappointed that I won't be able to catch the finale as it airs, or any of the marathon, but it's good to know that the show will take over the network just one more time.

My experience with Adventure Time is a little different from most- I saw some of it as the series was transitioning from the first and second seasons, but didn't last much longer as I was losing interest in the modern cartoon scene. By the time I got to finally checking it out, most fans were switching to Steven Universe, and while I mostly understand that, I admire AT's vast scope and tone. No two episodes are the same, and the characters don't feel as worn out as Steven does at this point.

I can't say that I'll miss it too much- its time has come, and has probably been ready for a good while- but I'm glad to see such a unique and clever series make such an impact.

I hope the [as] airings could mean the possibility of airing more CN shows, primarily the classics. I'd be happier with DVDs or streaming, but whatever we can get at this point.

And that set sounds cool. I was thinking of collecting the sets for a while, and this sounds like a better deal. As long as the price is right.

Rumor is that a new special may be made for the 10th anniversary next year.

4 new one-hour specials - with two set to premiere in 2020 - are being planned to air on HBO Max.

So yeah, it is a thing!

It's kind of weird to see CN still push the show so hard even after its death, because no one really seemed to care in its last few years. Most fans moved onto Steven Universe years ago.

I'm still not sure that we NEED more Adventure Time- the finale was a strong enough conclusion, and the last few seasons just weren't as fun as it used to be- but I like BMO, and it seems cute enough. If we do end up getting HBO, I'll check it out.
