Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal- 22
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess- 20
Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening (Special Edition)- 25
Super Mario Bros. 3- 24

Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening (Special Edition) and Super Mario Bros. 3 both move onto the finals.

And with that, we finally have the top 4 games ever (besides Ninja Gaiden Black, of course) according to our collected opinions. That said, which of these is the best of the best? There can be only one winner! Let's not waste any time in deciding it.

Final Round/Match:

Super Mario Bros. 3

vs.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

vs.

Super Mario Galaxy 2

vs.

Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening (Special Edition)

My Picks:

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time- To me, this is one of the finest action/adventure games ever crafted, and easily my favorite Zelda game. I just could never understand the people who said that it dated worse than other Zelda games, nor could I understand how anyone could insinuate that it has inferior design to any of the other classic Zelda games from the 90's. I think that if you play the game for what it is, it is a fun adventure game with an entertaining story, memorable characters, and extremely inventive and innovative ideas that are excellently implemented and executed the entire way through the game.

Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening (Special Edition)- This is very much a game that you have to conquer before you learn to love it, but it is also one of the most rewarding games to get good at. This, much like NGB, is a game that GETS difficulty and challenge. It makes a deep combat system that rewards you for experimenting with it and getting better with learning enemy weaknesses, as well as the unique, yet not so obvious, special uses of each weapon and style in the game. From a casual outsider's perspective, it just looks like a game where you slash up enemies from one stage to another until you reach the final boss in about 8-10 hours, and then you are done with the game. The reason why this game has had such a strong following, though, is because there is so much more to it than that. This game has layers upon layers which gives it more replay value than most games that take 3-4 times as long to beat, and you'll always find that with this game, there's always a way to get better, no matter how much time you spend playing it.

Super Mario Bros. 3- It's not my favorite Mario game, but I still love it. Personally I wish World would have made it farther than it did in this competition, and I'm kind of ticked that Yoshi's Island got bumped off in the 3rd round, but this is certainly a worthy Mario game to make it this far into the competition. To me, it was the first 2D Mario game to take every concept that was great about the original NES game, and manage to truly expand on it to deliver one of the most stellar platforming packages ever released.

Super Mario Galaxy 2- As usual, I'm sure it's great, but unfortunately I still haven't played this one. If anyone has any complaints about that, then send me a Wii with a copy of SMG2, and maybe I'll change my mind. Otherwise, don't be a smart-ass. I call it as I play it, and in this case I simply haven't played this game yet, so I can't make a call on it. And that's pretty much that.

I'm sort of surprised we still got the best of the best by the final round like this.

Well, that's our collected opinions on what the best games ever are. Thanks to everyone who participated!

You guys can now feel free to share your thoughts on the final results, which weren't at all what I was expecting, but that's what made this competition to damn interesting in the first place, IMO. I can guarantee you that on any other board (that wasn't specifically populated by Nintendo fans), none of these games would have made it this far in the competition, and instead we'd have some showdown between Uncharted and Heavy Rain, which I personally just shudder to think that. I can happily say that I can consider all of the top 4 games in this competition (and even up to the top 16 or so, for that matter), to truly be the best of the best, including some of the games that I still haven't played, or at least haven't played enough of.

Overall, though, I can't say that I'm displeased with the final results, myself.

Well, at any rate, now the #1 pick can go and join Ninja Gaiden Black in the land of video game greatness (which I may or may not have just made up), but of course it is only good enough to serve as NGB's underling. :>

Spark Of Spirit

Not the ranking I was expecting, but I have no complaints. They're good games from what I know.

I'm actually surprised SMG2 made it to the end.
