Contra 4 - One of the best shoot 'em ups
Pikmin 3 - Only played maybe 3 hours at John's house, but it's a-may-zing
Jak & Daxter - Excellent collect-a-thon; the only one I can still stomach, in fact
Super Smash Bros. Melee - My favorite Smash game, but it's sadly outclassed by the other three choices IMO

Half-Life - One of the all-time greatest FPS games
Gunstar Heroes - Absolutely fantastic
Mega Man 9 - One of the better Mega Man games, but it can be overly frustrating in comparison to the rest
Goldeneye 007 - A great FPS as far as early 3D consoles go

Another exceptionally difficult round.

Melee
Jak
Contra
Pikmin

Gunstar Heroes (Hard and Very Hard mode and how Golden Silver is the best boss in this genre won me over)
Half-Life - Must play more FPSs like HL.
Goldeneye
MM9
"Ryu is like the Hank Hill of Street Fighter." -BB_Hoody

Spark Of Spirit

Contra 4 - My second favorite Contra game
Jak & Daxter - This might be my favorite Naughty Dog game next to Crash 2
Pikmin 3 - From what I've seen of my friend's game, it looks fun
Super Smash Bros. Melee - My least favorite Smash game

Mega Man 9 - My favorite classic Mega Man game next to 3
Gunstar Heroes - This might be Treasure's best game
Half-Life - Excellent campaign
Goldeneye 007 - Fun campaign held back by the framerate and multiplayer that was WAY better in Perfect Dark

Round 1:

Match 27:

Rocket Knight Adventures

vs.

Sonic Generations

vs.

Super Mario Galaxy 2

vs.

Mega Man X

Match 28:

Devil May Cry

vs.

Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee

vs.

Earthbound

vs.

WWF: No Mercy

My Picks:

Match 27:
Mega Man X (One of the best 2D action/platformers ever)
Rocket Knight Adventures (Same as above, which made it REALLY hard for me to pick between the 2 of them)
Super Mario Galaxy 2 (I played about 3-4 hours of this at a friend's house, and loved every second of it)
Sonic Generations (Sorry, but now that the hype has died down....I honestly find this game to be incredibly mediocre)

Match 28:
Devil May Cry (The game that started my favorite genre in gaming)
WWF: No Mercy (As someone who is not a fan of wrestling, this game is absolutely amazing)
Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee (Admittedly it's an acquired taste, but it's incredibly unique, and very underrated)
Earthbound (Not my cup of tea) :sly:

Spark Of Spirit

Match 27 is just mean.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 - The best 3D platformer ever
Mega Man X - The best action/platformer ever
Rocket Knight Adventures - One of the best platformers ever
Sonic Generations - Any other match and this would have been higher. It's length really pulls it down in comparison to the rest which are perfect.

Earthbound - Great RPG
WWF: No Mercy - Best wrestling game
Devil May Cry - The first time I played this I beat it without the shotgun
Oddworld: Munch's Odyssey - Not a big fan of these games
"The world will never starve for want of wonders, but for want of wonder." - G.K. Chesterton

Mario Galaxy 2 should automatically win this tournament on the grounds of being the best game ever made.

Match 27
1. Super Mario Galaxy 2
2. Mega Man X
3. Rocket Knight Adventures (haven't played this one yet, but I've always wanted to)
4. Sonic Generations

Actually, the best game ever made is called Ninja Gaiden Black. And it already one the last tournament that we had as proof of that fact. :sly:

If that tournament happened before Super Mario Galaxy 2 was released, then maybe it was the best at the time. But even then, it'd still have to compete with the original Galaxy.

Your pictures probably just threw people off while voting. This, for example...

Super Mario Galaxy 2

...is from the original Galaxy. Yet you used it for Galaxy 2. If Galaxy 2 doesn't win the tournament, I'm using that as my go-to excuse. :humhumhum:

So in other words, you judge games by the quality of how pretty the pictures I post for them look? That's a very shallow outlook, Talon. But it's to be expected of you (and it certainly explains your taste in gaming). A game like NGB that has depth and requires time to achieve mastery is too much for you, I can now clearly see. :>

Super Mario Galaxy 2 - The best 3D platformer not named Ratchet & Clank
Mega Man X - The best action/platformer not named Ratchet & Clank
Rocket Knight Adventures - Fantastic game that I need to play more than 30 minutes of
Sonic Generations - An uneven, but excellent, experience

Devil May Cry - One of the all-time best action-adventure games
Earthbound - Dalek hates it, so it must be good
WWF: No Mercy - I don't usually like sports games, but this one is great
Oddworld: Munch's Odyssey - Not a bad game, but probably my least favorite Oddworld

It only lasts for 60 minutes.

I remember Abe's Exodus being my least favorite, but I still liked that game as well.

Stranger's Wrath is easily the best game in the entire series, though.

Not how pretty. How accurate. I want accuracy in my voting. Imagine if you posted a picture of BioShock for Sonic 2. Don't you know how much that screws up my entire life? :butbut:
