The Battle For 8PM

Hey, remember when AS temporarily lost an hour?

Well, they're doing it again this year.

They're going to air the Regular Show Halloween specials and OTGW for this week.

Which is the first week of November, but hey.

It looks like CN is going to put their newly restored hour to serious use this time. Instead of a bunch of reruns like 2013's attempt, they'll actually be putting premieres in this hour.

Adventure Time begins its new season this Monday at 8PM and will air new episodes all week. They'll also be using that slot for the "Stakes" mini-series, from November 16-19.

Regular Show will also be airing new episodes at 8:30PM on November 9-13.

When I saw the ads for Adventure Time premieres at 8 PM, I was like holy crap, they're actually doing something useful. I mean compared to last week where they decided to air Terror Tales of the Park and Over the Garden Wall were pretty nice, but 3 different weeks of premieres is pretty resourceful.

Even before they gave it to Adult Swim, CN only used it for Adventure Time or Regular Show reruns. Good to see then using it how they should be. Wonder if this might mean they're staying back this time?

Starting September 26, Adult Swim moves back to 9PM. Again.
