The Space Dandy OST is literally the best funk/jazz/disco album of the year and the greatest soundtrack of all time. It deserves a million grammys.

Ah man. I should've watched the Ranma 1/2 OVAs subbed sooner. DoCo's openings and endings for the series are fucking amazing.

That opening kind of takes me back to when I saw this series. I remember, after the first 5-10 episodes (which I thought were a bit average), I became so hooked and marathon'd the whole series in a relatively short time.

Now I have a question for anyone familiar with Hunter x Hunter's soundtrack. There are two songs in particular that I really liked, but I can't seem to find them. The first song played during the Hunter Exam, when Gon was running away with Hisoka's badge in the forest. The second song played in a following scene. It was played when Gon sitting in a field thinking to himself about how he had gotten as far as he did because everyone helped him, and that he couldn't have done it alone. Those are the two scenes that I particularly recognize the songs from. For anyone who knows what songs I'm talking about, can you tell me what their names are?

I like tracks as well. I was looking for the fight music that first played when Kurapika fought Uvogin and the tense music that played when he chained him and tortured him by punching holes in his stomach. I just finished listening to an 80 track playlist and neither one came up (I did find some new favorites though. I'll post my favorites later.)

Okay, I've been thinking about it a lot recently, and I've decided. I think Uchuu wa Daihen da! is my favorite ending theme, if not my favorite anime theme in general.

Wild and crazy, celebrating letting go of all your inhibitions and embracing absurdity and spontaneity, and living life like one big party. The song perfectly captures the wild weirdness of Urusei Yatsura and doesn't fail to excite. It's no wonder they used it to close out the last episode of the series, since of all the songs used for the anime, it reflects the series by far the best (yes, even more than Lum's Love Song). It inspires a diverse amount of reactions and feelings from me listening to it, and probably the only other themes that really do so for me are Positive from Ranma 1/2 and Ai wa Boomerang from Beautiful Dreamer. So, yeah, I think I can safely call it my favorite, for the time being.

But heck, all of the UY ending themes are great, really. I'd say the first two, as well as "Ai wa Boomerang," "Remember My Love," and "Melancholy no Kiseki" are my personal favorites of the bunch.

True that. "Only a Chilling Elegy" and "Sanjou!! Ginyu Tokusentai!!" are probably my favorites as far as the vocal songs go, while "A Mighty Foe" is my favorite instrumental.

On the subject of the vocal songs, though, I find it odd how they made so many of them, but only the Ginyu Force's and Vegeta's themes were ever actually used in the show. Missed opportunity, there.

They used Frieza's theme as well, really briefly when Gohan, Krillin, and Piccolo were engaging in a futile attempt to stall him in his fourth and final form.
