The Greatest Anime Opening Ever Tournament

Two of my all-time favorites in one round. The other two are really strong, too. Yeowch.

1. "Driver's High" (GTO)
-I've never liked this band as much as most people, but this song is still their best to me. It's the theme that best encapsulates both the original series as well as GTO.

2. "Freckles [english dub]" (Rurouni Kenshin)
-I always liked how this theme sounds like Kenshin from the hard rock beginning into the more poppy present. Like things are about to change.

3. "As the Dew" (Detective Conan)
-Very noir-ish. I like it. Nice usage of the rain throughout.

4. "The Light Before We Land" (Gunslinger Girl)
-A bit slower, but very atmospheric. Any other round it might be near the top for me. I like the usage of colors especially.

My Picks:

"Dancing Star" - One of the best UY openings and songs, imo.
"Suki sa" - The song is so damn awesome, I can't help but be drawn into the opening every time.
"Be Somewhere" - I really like the song. This is probably the best Mega Man opening in this competition.
"Motteke! Sailor Fuku" - It's pretty fun, but I had to put something last.

Ah, another great match today:

"Cobra" - Classic 80's jazzy goodness.
"Our Sentimental Generation" - Not as great as "Scramble," but still a good one.
"Rewrite" - Solid FMA opening, fitting as the last one of the first anime.
"Soramimi Cake" - Cute and fun, like the show.
