Shoko Nishimiya - An incredible portrayal of both a deaf person and a victim of bullying, Shoko tries her best not to be brought down by her disability and braved through her bullying, trying not to cause trouble for anyone and just desiring to make friends. Thinking she's a burden on her friends and family, Shoko is always quick to apologize to others even for things she is not at fault for, and even towards people who intentionally antagonize her like Ueno. She's a fascinating, tragic, and sympathetic  character with a strong character arc, and after the recent events has re-gained a desire to live and helping the friend who saved her life, and hopefully, she succeeds.

Leorio - Just one of those characters that's easy to get behind and root for. Not particularly strong but smart when it counts and always dedicated to his friends, Leorio just has a lot of great moments in the series, and it's a shame he (as well as Kurapika) was out of the spotlight for a lot of it until now. I'm glad that he's an integral part of the Dark Continent arc, and hope to see good things with his character in the future.

Weather Report - A cool dude with a fascinating and tragic backstory, an interesting relationship with the main villain of part 6, and really crazy abilities. Not to mention Heavy Weather is the most bizarre stand in the entire series. Seriously, what happens once he activates it's true abilities is some weird, fucked-up shit.

Chu - He was always fun when he showed up, but isn't nearly as strong a character in character development or role in the story than these other characters.

Hachiken Yugo - My favorite character from my favorite ongoing manga. Also probably the second most "relatable" character I've seen in an anime/manga, after Godai.

Koichi Hirose - One of the best characters in Part IV. Echoes is an awesome stand too.

Trafalgar Law - Easily the most interesting character in the current arc.

Scar - I prefer the first anime's version of his character a lot better.
