Holy fuck! This a tough round!

Nomiya Tomomi- Don't just down-vote this guy simply because you haven't read REAL, ESPECIALLY if you like good delinquent characters like Kuwabara, and more notably Sakuragi from Slam Dunk, being that the same creator, Takehiko Inoue, took that character archetype and added layers to it with Nomiya, and transformed him from an ass-hole into a the most likable and compassionate character in the entire series; needless to say, he's my favorite character in REAL

Kazuma Kuwabara- The most underrated of the main four characters; the idiot fans look at him and just think "Doh! He's not super bad-ass like the other guys, so he's not 'kewl' and a shitty character, lol!"; but he honest has more development than most other characters on the show, and I'd argue that being an underdog among the main cast makes him all the more appealing

Hajime Saito- We all have out "guilty pleasure" characters; the one who we love more for their bad-assery than their actual, well, "character"; mine just happens to be Saito, though to his credit he has also gotten a fair amount of backstory to him, and it is implied that he has another side to himself which he just never shows to Kenshin and his group

L- Don't think that I don't like this character just because I'm ranking him last, here, because as I said, it's a tough ass hell round for me, but I do ultimately feel stronger about the other characters, however to L's credit, I ALWAYS found him to be the most engaging character in Death Note, and personally I was always pulling for him to win out over Light, myself
