Jumping from DC characters to one from Marvel, huh? Well, I'm certainly not complaining. If they are trying to portray the character in the same tone as the movie, then Will is definitely a good choice.

Quote from: Foggle on February 18, 2015, 03:45:06 PMHis performance as Deadpool in the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon was, bar none, the worst rendition I've ever seen of the character. Of course, that could have been more due to the writing and directing than him, but... oh wait, this is by Man Of Action too. :burn:

Unfortunately, that's what you get by giving a good VA a terrible script and bad voice directing.

He also voiced Terry from Batman Beyond, and Blue Beetle from TBATB, so he does know how to voice act properly and has charm to his performances, so long as the writing is good.

That said, you can't hold out much hope for this show unless the involvement from Man of Action/Loeb is minimal.

Spark Of Spirit

I was mostly excited because I like Will Friedle and his voice acting and thought the idea of him as Star-Lord was a good fit.

As for the show? Well, with Man of Action behind it I can't say I'm excited.

Oh - he's pretty awesome then. Must have just been the voice directing and script. :wth:

Dr. Insomniac

Because my mind kept shifting to his voice when reading some Star-Lord comics, I was hoping Joel McHale would do it. Oh well.

Look on the bright side: at least your ideal voice for Star Lord won't be butchered by a shitty MOA script. ;)

Or eventually meet up with Adrian Pasdar doing the worst RDJ impression.

I just finished watching Guardians Of The Galaxy for the first time tonight....I had no clue Thanos was going to be in this movie. I was genuinely shocked when they even mentioned his name at the beginning. I just expected him to make a full reveal in an avengers movie. Nice Metron ripoff chair. Anyway, this movie isn't one of my favorite favorite MCU movies but I liked it.

Dr. Ensatsu-ken

It's my favorite MCU movie behind both Captain America films, and one of my top 10 favorite films in the genre. It just feels so fresh in concept for a Superhero/Comic Book movie.

gunswordfist

There really isn't anything like it in MCU.

MCU is "Marvel Cinematic Universe", right?

I loved Guardians. I'd say it was my favorite of them alongside Iron Man.

gunswordfist

Yes.

I need to watch Iron Man..and every other MCU movie I like along with Guardians to really rank them. The film is in a weird place on my rankings.

I want to give it a chance, but Man of Action...

Spark Of Spirit

Did you know that Ultimate Spider-Man will pass 100 episodes? Amazing.

It's hard to get excited for this since it's Man Of Action, Marvel Animated Studios, and going to be on XD. In recent years that has not been a good combination.
