As sort of a spin-off of the port/remake thread, this thread is where you can talk about your own fantasized collection packs. They can be whatever you want, like a "best of" collection for a series, or different games from the same company or developer that share a similar theme. Here's what I can come up with:

Konami:

Title: Awesome Sega Genesis Games That We Forgot Ever Existed Because Metal Gear Exists

Platforms: Various

Capcom:

Undisputed Classics Vol. 1:
1. Mega Man X 1-3
2. Strider (Genesis)
3. Super Ghouls n' Ghosts

The following can go on almost any platform:

Old-School Resident Evil All-Star Pack:
1. Resident Evil REmake

There. Something that will never happen in a million years but something I would like to see. But since Capcom of Japan would rather Mega Man fade away, we'd be lucky to even get 9 and 10 re-released on new systems.

Dr. Ensatsu-ken

Here's another one from Capcom:

Devil May Cry (PROPER) HD Collection (PC, PS4, XBOX ONE, Wii-U)
1. Devil May Cry
2. Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition
3. Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition

I want DMC 1 and 3 with actual graphical improvements, and not just stretched to fit wide-screen. I also want all of the menus and christened remastered in HD as well, rather than just being left in SD as they were in the last-gen releases, which was incredibly lazy on Capcom's part.

gunswordfist

i would easily add links awakening.

no jetforce gemini, talon?

i haven't heard of some of those megaman games, namely the untranslated ones.

Since we were talking about Konami before, I've got a few. The Goemon one is specifically the platformers and adventure games. The early NES RPGs would be a lot of work for too little interest. Also not bothering with translating the reboot stuff or the spin-offs, most fans only want the goofy goodness.

Mystical Ninja Goemon: Ganbare! Collection (Every system)

Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon 64 (N64)
Goemon's Great Adventure (N64)
Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon (?edo Daikaiten) (translated) (PlayStation)
Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon (Kuru Nara Koi!) (translated) (PlayStation)
Goemon: Toukai Douchuu Daiedo Tenguri Kaeshi no Maki (translated) (DS)
Bonus game: Mr. Goemon (arcade)

Contra: Aggressive Attack Anniversary (Every system)

Contra (Arcade, NES, MSX2, DOS, C64, CPC, ZX versions)
Super C (Arcade, NES, DOS, Amiga versions)
Operation C
Contra III: The Alien Wars (SNES, Game Boy, Game Boy Advance versions)

The exact games I would want. I think if they would also add both NOLF games I would be completely satiated.

It's not a Best of Monolith without Blood! At least, not the first one. Oh, and NOLF 1 & 2. And Condemned 2. And Aliens vs. Predator 2...

Damn good studio, Monolith.

Dr. Ensatsu-ken

I thought that people were disappointed by the sequel to Condemned.

As for F.E.A.R. 2, I actually quite like that game, but I wouldn't personally qualify it for a "best of" collection. It's good, but not great.

#13
Double Dragon: Legend of the Miracle Collection

Double Dragon (Arcade, NES, Sega Master System, Game Boy, Atari 2600, Atari 7800,  Amiga, Atari ST, Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, IBM PC, MSX, Genesis, Atari Lynx, and iPhone versions)
Double Dragon II: The Revenge (Arcade, NES, Game Boy, Mega Drive, PC Engine CD, ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, Amiga, IBM PC versions as well as Wanders of the Dragon for completion sake)
Double Dragon III: The Rosetta Stones (Arcade, NES, Amstrad CPC, Amiga, Atari ST, Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, DOS, Game Boy, and Mega Drive/Genesis versions)
Super Double Dragon (Japanese version of "Return" included)
Double Dragon V: The Shadow Falls (SNES, Genesis, and Jaguar versions)
Double Dragon (Neo Geo)
Double Dragon Advance (GBA)
Double Dragon Neon
Bonus Game: Rage of the Dragons (Neo Geo)

I could put in a plea for the Battletoads crossover, but that will never happen. As it is, that's a pretty great DD collection even if there's some stuff I would never touch.

F.E.A.R. 2, much like Blood 2, is a great game, but it doesn't live up to the excellence of its predecessor.

I thought it was just as good as the original, for the most part.
