I don't get why Platinum gets hated at all. Gamers would have slobbered all over anything they made during the PS2/Dreamcast era.
Because they're dumb!

Spark Of Spirit

Because Nintendo wouldn't let a game they paid for be released on another system just to spite those people who bought the first game in the series.

It was diabolical and evil!

Besides that. :il_hahaha:

I'm still trying to figure out why they lost their shit when that MGRR trailer came out saying Platinum took over development.

Top 10 crazy hopes:

1. Paper Mario Wii U (TTYD style)
2. Metroid V 3DS (Sidescroller)
3. A Donkey Kong game made by Retro
4. Wario Land 3DS
5. Mario Kart 8 Battle Mode DLC
6. R&C turns out to merge the stories and planets from R&C and Going Commando
7. Luigi's Mansion 3 Wii U
8. Diddy Kong Racing 2 Wii U
9. Smash Bros. Stage DLC news
10. Mario Vs. Donkey Kong Classic - Based on DK'94 and MvsDK GBA

I don't really expect any of that, but that's why they're crazy wishes.

2. Metroid V 3DS (Sidescroller)
I'd rather this be on the Wii U, personally. Tropical Freeze was beautiful; we need more 2D games with today's graphics. Metroid especially would benefit from higher quality visuals since the games are so atmospheric.

6. R&C turns out to merge the stories and planets from R&C and Going Commando
I'm pretty sure it's going to merge R&C and UYA. Leaving out GC would make me sad, but it never really had much impact on the overall narrative to begin with.

Spark Of Spirit

I said 3DS because they haven't announced anything for the 3DS yet this year, but I wouldn't turn down a classic Metroid on the Wii U.

Not to mention those meltdowns would take down the internet.

Is Dr. Nefarious scheduled to appear? If not, that's going to be a definite minus.

But while the story from GC is take it or leave it, there are a lot of great levels and planets that would be lost if they skipped it. So I do hope it makes its way in there some way. Unless of course they're doing a story mode like Mortal Kombat 9 and having all three together merged into one long story. I could go with that.

That's another good reason for it to happen! :il_hahaha:

He's confirmed to be in the game, though I'm not sure to what extent. A potential leak about the film implies that
Spoiler
he'll be replacing Qwark as the secondary villain in this new iteration.

I have a feeling they'll be using an amalgamation of planets, weapons, and gadgets from the original trilogy, along with some all-new stuff as well. I also wouldn't be surprised if a scaled down DreadZone from Deadlocked serves as the obligatory arena.

Spark Of Spirit

That would be interesting. Making it sort of a best-of of the original trilogy. I could get down with that, especially if its got some of the best weapons and planets.

Is there a chance we could see the game at E3, or is the delay putting the kibosh on that?

They were supposed to release footage of it last year, and it seems like they're going to be pushing this game fairly hard, so I have a feeling we'll at the very least see a trailer at E3.

Spark Of Spirit

What was with all the Batman focus?

Anyway, sounds good. Unfortunately, it was the only thing in that trailer that really appealed to me.

Because it's one of the only games with any Sony-exclusive aspect left releasing in 2015. :happytime:

Yeah. Batman looks good, but it's no longer day 1 for me after AC and AO. Bloodborne is great, but... it's already out?? The rest was just meh. Show me some of that MGS5 and then we'll be talking.

gunswordfist

I expect to see Gill, Sean and Alex revealed at E3.

I would literally die.

The more it comes right down to it, the more disappointing Sticker Star seems to get with each passing year. And I've defended this game a lot, but compared to TTYD or even SPM? Nintendo, you can do better.

Nel_Annette

Don't let Miyamoto near it, I guess. I desperately want a TTYD-styled game again. So bad. Sooooo bad. Give me my eight chapters, my quirky characters, my original environments and my awesome music. I want to experience that again.
