It's the only Mario game I've sold, as well.

Oh, I also sold Paper Mario and Mario 64 after I bought them on the VC. But I don't think that really counts.

Also, to flip one of your earlier statements, Spark, I would be totally fine with someone skipping Sunshine and going straight to Galaxy. .3.
I actually think I sold my copy of Super Mario Sunshine since I can't find it anywhere.

Wow, I must have disliked that a lot. I've never sold a Mario game in my life.

For a BS-free series like Mario, the water backpack is the most shameless gimmick I've ever seen. "Hey let's make entire levels dedicated to doing nothing but slowly and boringly cleaning up mud". Just... why, Nintendo?

It's possible to sell VC games?

Foggle

I sold the physical versions because I bought them again for my Wii.

Kiddington

As I'm currently slogging through Sunshine at this very moment, I honestly can't believe I haven't sold my copy yet.

This game suuuuuuuuuucks.

Nel_Annette

I swear I'm the only person who loves Sunshine.  ;D

Avaitor

I'd never sell my copy of Mario 64. Even if it isn't my favorite Mario game, I still hope that one day, I could possibly get it signed by Miyamoto.

Basically, I find this gameplay clip to be really good compared to the original version of the level. I'd definitely play a full HL1 remake with those graphics and that general design. I could live with the cheesy voice-acting, honestly.
From one of the devs on the Black Mesa forums...

QuoteI'm planning to re-upload the video to our own YouTube channel in 1080p (which I assume is the same one that has been doing the Sendspace/Dropbox rounds on the forums). There's been some debate within the team about recording an updated version that addresses the feedback we've received, but I can't yet confirm if we'll actually be able to do that.
Quote

  • We previously had two sets of voices for human grunts; a deeper, more gruff one for commanders, and a younger, cleaner one for regular grunts and medics. We've now given regular grunts the badass gruff voice as well, and all voices have had a radio-static filter applied. As a result, all human grunts now wear gasmasks.
  • We are re-recording the human grunts scripted dialogue (i.e. scripted sequences, not their idle/combat chatter).
  • We have replaced the song in this battle with an alternate track, one that's darker and more aggressive.

The grunts do, but commanders and medics don't. They're meant to be visually distinct for gameplay reasons.

I fucking love these guys.

After thinking about it, this is probably my top 5 for the Super Nintendo.

1. Chrono Trigger
2. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
3. Super Metroid
4. Super Mario World
5. Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest / Super Castlevania IV (tie)

Hitman Blood Money and Hitman 2 are both on sale for $2.49 on Steam today.

Spark Of Spirit

My favorite games from this generation: (PSWii60/DSP... and PC)

1. Super Mario Galaxy 2
2. Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack In Time
3. New Super Mario Bros. Wii
4. Contra 4
5. Mega Man 9
6. Ys Oath In Felghana
7. Deadly Premonition
8. Valkyria Chronicles
9. Left 4 Dead 2
10. Halo Reach / GoldenEye Wii (best FPS campaigns, IMO)

Good generation, all told.

Good list man! For me,

1. F.E.A.R.
2. Bayonetta
3. Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time
4. Deus Ex: Human Revolution
5. Yakuza 4
6. Fatal Frame 4
7. Siren: Blood Curse
8. Hitman: Blood Money
9. Vanquish
10. Ninja Gaiden 2

Borderlands 2 and Dishonored will both probably find their way to this list in the future, but it's too early to rank them now.

EDIT: SHIT how did I forget about Hitman?

Spark Of Spirit

Borderlands is a good one too, but I bet the sequel will be better when I get around to playing more.

By the way, for those of you holding out to play GoldenEye, I heard the Reloaded port is inferior to the Wii version in that they crippled the stealth mechanic and made everything more COD in approach. Which is a real shame. :/

No stealth? Laaaame.

I'd want to play the Wii version anyway, if only for the unique control scheme.
