I'd best not say anything else, after all, I wouldn't want you to get a heartattack or something. Anyway, I never owned a SNES (sad, but true).

Here are the results:

Scorpius= 14 pts
Porky Minch= 15 pts
Frank Fontaine= 16 pts
The Four= 17 pts
Akuma= 13 pts

Frank Fontaine and The Four move on to Round 2.

I've also never owned a SNES and NES is the only Nintendo system I ever owned (unless you count those few months my brother borrowed a N64 from his friend). Anyway, there's no excuse for not having any Akuma exposure. Speaking of Akuma, ugh, how'd he lose?

Pharass

Beat em'ups (or whatever they call the genre these days) aren't really my thing (mostly because I tend to suck at them), is there any other way to get some Akuma exposure?

Anyway, on to the next match.

Round 1, Match 8:

One Eye/Mad Dog (Hardboiled)

Vs.

Don Karnage (Talespin)

Vs.

HAL 9000

Vs.

Hans Gruber (Die Hard)

Vs.

Toguro (Yu Yu Hakusho)

-----------

1. Hans Gruber: It's been ages since I last watched "Die Hard", but I remember Alan Rickman being awesome as it's main villain: "I'm going to count to three, there will not be a four".
2. HAL 9000: I prefer Shodan, but HAL is the archetypical rogue AI, no doubt about it.
3. Toguro: You know, while the younger was a more fleshed-out character, I think both Toguro brothers were great villains, each in his own way.
4. Don Karnage: I remember this guy,  he was pretty entertaining.
5. Mad Dog: Looks cool, but since he's the only one here I'm not familiar with, he gets last place.

What a great match.

1- Karnage (Normally Gruber would be above him, but I wanted to give him a little push this time)
2- Gruber (What was that you said, "Yippee ki yay mother fucker?")
3- Toguro (Is this for both of them? Even by themselves, I'd put them fairly high)
4- HAL (GREAT villain, although I don't care much for 2001 itself)
5- Mad Dog (Also cool, but something's gotta give)
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

1. Hal 9000 (I'll be honest and say that I rank it so high because of what this particular villain represents rather than its overall execution, but Hal is indeed a classic villain)
2. Toguro (Just for clarification, I meant Younger Toguro, but I feel that both Toguro brothers are great villains in their own respects, with the Elder Toguro being memorable for how he tries to psychologically toy with his victim's emtions and sadistically makes them suffer....until he faces off against Kurama who is the only person that his tricks don't work on, ending up giving him a taste of his own medicine, in fact; as for Younger Toguro, I could go on forever about his great qualities, so I won't do that right now in order to save everyone a lot of reading ;) )
3. Mad Dog (Classic John Woo villain)
4. Hans Gruber (Classic Die Hard villain)
5. Don Karnage (Unfortunately I've never seen TS before, so I had to rank him last, sorry :( )

To be honest, neither do I, but HAL is just such a great villain that I had to give him second place.

You've never seen Tale Spin, EK?! Get the fuck out of my country!

I have to insure that Toguro and Mad Dog wins.

I think we can wrap this up, here are the results:

One Eye/Mad Dog= 12 pts
Don Karnage= 12 pts
HAL 9000= 16 pts
Hans Gruber= 17 pts
Toguro= 18 pts

Hans Gruber and Toguro move on to Round 2.

On a sidenote; what happened to Toguro's picture? It just disappeared..

Anyway, let's move on, shall we?

Round 1, Match 9:

Demona (Gargoyles)

Vs.

Eurymachus (The Odyssey)

Vs.

Sir Crocodile/Mr. 0 (One Piece)

Vs.

Shin (Fist of the Northstar)

Vs.

Cyrus (Pokemon Diamond/Pearl)

----------------

1. Demona: A wonderfully complex and tragic villain. To paraphrase Gregx: "She's humanity's worst enemy, but more importantly, she's her own worst enemy. She is Demona."
2. Sir Crocodile: While I'm not a big fan of One Piece (I always get the feeling that it's something I should like more than I actually do) I have to give Oda credit for creating some really great villains and Crocodile is by far my favorite out of the ones I know.
3. Eurymachus: Been years since I read The Odyssey, he was one of the asshole suitors, right?
4. Shin: Some day, I'm going to watch Fist of the Northstar
5. Cyrus: Haven't played a Pokemon game since "Gold/"Silver", so I'm not familiar with this character.

1- Demona
2-Eurymachus
3- Sir Crocodile
4- Shin
5- Cyrus

I do prefer FOTN to OP from what I've seen, but I'm not familiar with Shin.

1. Sir Crocodile (I'm not as big a fan of One Piece as most other people who follow the series, myself, though I do now have a greater appreciation for the series than I once did; that said, whether I like the series or not is irrelevant in this case because even when I wasn't all too fond of the series I still found Crocodile to be a superbly crafted villain, and still to this day I find him to be the most memorable villain that Oda has ever created in One Piece)
2. Demona (I can't give enough praise to her, and quite frankly GregX already described her character perfectly in 1 sentence)
3. Eurymachus (Yes, Pharass, he is indeed one of the asshole suitors, but to his credit Homer made him a bit more intelligent and manipulative than the rest of the bunch)
4. Shin (I still haven't seen enough of FOTNS yet, and I've only seen him in a few scenes so far, so unfortunately I can't really judge how good of a villain he is, yet)
5. Cyrus (I am unfamiliar with this particular Pokemon character, so I have to rank him last by default)

gunswordfist

How can you two bitches not know that much about Shin????

1. Shin- Probably my favorite villain voiced by Steven Jay Blum. Definitely like him more than Shisio. Also, probably my favorite underappreicate Blum character. Either him or Guyver III from The Guyver.

2. Cyrus- Haven't played a Pokemon since Crystal...or was it Platinum? W/e is the upgraded version of Silver/Gold.

3. Erymachus

4. Croc

5. Demona (Like her but this is strategy baby!)
"Ryu is like the Hank Hill of Street Fighter." -BB_Hoody

Daxdiv

1. Crocodile- Pretending to be the hero of Alabasta, just so he can find the blueprints for the ultimate weapon that even the World Government doesn't want back.
2. Cyrus- He wanted to destroy the world, and rebuild it in his image. His image included making humans fucking emotionless. Well, at least he's happy in the Distortion World where no will bother him again.
3. Shin
4. Demona
5. Eurymachus

I thought that they did want it back, though, or at least wasn't CP9's mission to recover the blueprints intact? They seemed to be pretty pissed when Franky burnt them, at any rate.
