Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes

I don't even think that it's really filler, since a big part of the episode involves Spider-Man and the team trying to save Captain America's image after his Skrull takeover. We even got a step forward into that direction by the end.

Yeah, either way it was a good episode. I am still peeved that this they replaced Josh Keaton's voice, though, since I hear that this is supposedly set in the same Universe as TSSM and it would have been so awesome to see a re-appearance of TSSM's Spider-Man, but without Josh Keaton's voice the cameo just doesn't work.

I never heard about that. I knew that there was speculation that A:EMH shared the same universe as Wolverine & the X-Men, but not Spectacular Spider-Man. This version of Parker and Spidey doesn't look like SSM's at all, which is why I have my doubts.

I remember that Greg X wrote something about that at one point (I think on his blog, maybe, but I don't entirely remember), so that's where I read it from.

Also, I don't think the art styles differing discounts stuff from taking place in the same universe. I mean, the art styles between BTAS and JL were vastly different due to the huge gap of time in-between both shows, but they still took place in the same Universe.

Finally got to see the Vision's first episode. As I was expecting, it kicked ass. It was sweet to see Black Panther again, as well as see him, Cap, Thor and Hawkeye take on the Vision.

Another great episode. Even being forced to stick to strictly episodic story-telling can't seem to keep this show from being kick-ass. Actually, the simplicity of these episodes also prove that the show can still be very well written and memorable without having to over complicate itself like YJ has been doing in its 2nd season, IMO.

And it isn't even too entirely episodic, since there's potential foreshadowing for the Vision and Ultron to reappear later. I still have yesterday's episode to watch, but so far, we're 2 for 2.

Yeah, I can't wait to see more of Ultron. He was a great villain in season 1, and I here from people who have watched the international episode releases (since apparently the show has already finished its run everywhere in the world EXCEPT here) that  his episode in this season does not disappoint.

Finally saw "Assault on 42", and it kicked ass! I see people compare it to Aliens, and I can totally see the connection. It rocked all the way through, along with a great use of the Leader.

Haha! I was just about to make that comparison, myself! I didn't know that it was a popular opinion.

Anyways, this may just be the best stand-alone episode in the series yet. It really makes you wonder just what kind of mysteries the Negative Zone has hiding in it. I mean, for something that's supposed to be devoid of life, it sure....well, isn't.

I think the best aspect of this episode was once again showing off why Captain America is such a kick-ass leader. The way he took charge and got the heroes and villains to cooperate against a much bigger threat lead to possibly the best big-team effort I've ever seen in a superhero show like this.

I have to admit, I was really scared that the series would dip in quality after the first half of this season, but the writers really show that no matter what limitations are put on them, they can still churn out great material.

Powerless was also a good episode. It was nice to see Thor gain a lot more respect for the mortals when he had his powers stripped away from him (much like in the movie).

Oh, and "Ultron Unlimited" kicks ass too. My only problem with it is that we already saw the main Avengers fight duplicates of themselves. Only instead of Skrulls, these are androids.

But the rest of it is quite good. I wonder if we'll see the Vision in the rest of the series.

Well I liked "Yellowjacket". It's not anyone's favorite episode, it seems, and while I'll admit that the pacing is off, it's a good representation of how messed up Pym is, and works as a good beginning to the next part of his life.

It saddens me that season 3 won't happen though, since we won't get to see more of his breakdown, which leaves this as kind of pointless.

Oh wow, I forgot to comment on the last few episodes, including the finale. But it was great!

So good, in fact, that Marvel Animation Age shut down after it aired.

Yeah, despite the fact that I heard that there weren't supposed to be any 2-parters in the 2nd half of the season, we got one anyways to conclude the whole Kree incident, which was awesome. My only gripe is that it should have been the finale as opposed to the single Galactus episode which was a ton of fun but way too rushed for an encounter with such a huge villain (literally and figuratively). That, and the whole Kree incident had been in the background of the story and was slowly being built up to since mid-way into season 1, so that felt like it would have been the more appropriate and dramatic ending for the series. Either way, we got a great last few episodes, and I can now firmly say that season 2 didn't suffer much in quality, aside from a few lackluster filler episodes (but only just a few). I can also now safely say that this is easily one of my favorite superhero cartoons out there, and it'd probably be one of my top 25 favorite animated series if I were to make a list of all of them.

I decided to not watch Starro part 1 of Batman TBATB so I started Avengers episode 1 today. Me likey.
