It took me a bit of time to warm up to the show, initially. Its brand of humor was very much an acquired taste for me, but it really grew on me with each season, and seasons three and four in particular were what really made me a fan. Season five was good as well, though not quite as strong as those two, IMO.

I think that Archer Vice was an interesting experiment, and a welcome change of pace, but it just didn't end up evolving to be anything special, and turned out to be kind of a wash by the end. It's still pretty good on the whole, but it isn't one of the show's best seasons.

But season 6 is one of my favorites to date! The spy formula feels a little fresh again, and AJ has helped to keep Archer and Lana's chemistry additionally exciting. Even the Barry episode (who I was getting increasingly tired of) was a lot of fun. I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on it when you get the chance to see it.
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

I enjoyed the first episode, not so much the second one, but I fell in love with Archer as soon as I saw the third one. Immature though it may be, "He touched my penis with his penis!" "Where?" "All of it! Head and shaft!" makes me explode with laughter every time. Seasons 2 and 3 are my favorites, but they're all great IMO. Best episode for me is definitely Lo Scandalo, closely followed by Placebo Effect. The former may very well be the funniest thing I've ever seen.

I feel like Archer Vice probably needed another year in the oven. It had a lot of great ideas, but felt very rushed on the whole, what with several characters being OOC, insane overuse of running gags, and the first episode partly being a clip show. I still liked it a lot, though.

My favorite will always be "El Secuestro".

"Want a piece of this?"
"Nope!"

Best episode ever.

Did anyone catch the premiere? I liked it, but I do generally dig detective storylines. Starting off with a Sunset Boulevard nod was especially a good call to my tastes.

Glad they continued off of last week with the movie star chick. I don't know if the next episode will continue it further, but I love the story so far.

So I guess Lana was easily bailed out from the end of the last episode. Part of me would have liked to see an arc where she's in jail or prison, but it's probably for the best.

I won't lie, I wasn't expecting this kind of episode for Barry, but it's not bad. He had some of his best lines in a while, actually. But I won't mind if we don't see more of him for a while.

And I liked the ending here, since it reminds us that Malory still has her secret agent chops. But yeah, she'll definitely be back next week.

Somehow, I'd completely missed the fact that Archer had returned. Well, time to go look up the season opener.

Having now fully caught up, I have to say that so far, I like this season more than the last one.
I must admit, Barry's return didn't really do much for me (though the episode wasn't bad). On the other hand, it was nice to see Malory display her skills.
Correct me if I'm mistaken, but the point that Malory and Carol made about the school in episode 3, was that it allowed Jewish kids in, but not black kids, right? That went completely over Lana's head, didn't it?

Spoiler
So apparently Archer is dead now. No that is not a joke.

How they're rebound from that, I have no clue, but at least I guess this means they won't switch back to being secret agents again like Season 6.

FX still hasn't officially renewed the series for another season, so that might seriously be how the series ends if they don't decide to continue it...

Foggle

C'mon dude, spoiler tags! I know it foreshadows it as early as the first episode of the new season, but I haven't caught up yet. :(

Avaitor

Wow, this was only ten episodes?

It was a good season, but I'm really worried about the show's future. I don't think I'm ready for it to be over yet.
